So get yourselves comfortable,
Starting with a lovely,
Long,
Slow,
Deep breath in and exhaling in your own time,
Settling your body into your space Gathering yourself,
Gathering your energy,
Bringing it all into this present moment Just notice your back against the chair or the bed or the floor,
Your feet,
What part of them touches the surface below you,
And just allow that surface to fully hold you Breathing in and breathing out,
Letting it all be held,
Noticing anywhere in your body there's tension or tightness,
And breathing into that space,
Telling yourself,
Telling your body that you're safe here now,
Nowhere to be,
Nothing to do for the next short while We spend a lot of our lives telling stories,
Stories about who we are,
What happened to us,
How we feel and also telling stories about others,
What they did,
How good they are to us,
Or maybe how they hurt us And often with the stories we tell,
We fill in a lot of blanks,
Our mind creates meaning from things that happened And sometimes this meaning isn't 100% true,
Sometimes this meaning is fabricated to make us feel better Sometimes this meaning is suggested to us,
For us to choose to believe or not And often we need to accept that I'm never annoyed for the reason I think,
I'm never angry for the reason I think And I'm never afraid for the reason I think What if we were to let go of all of the explanations and just acknowledge and accept the emotions that we feel Without searching for meaning or explanation or a story to tell And let's just sit for a moment,
Acknowledge an emotion that you've been feeling lately That you've been giving meaning to and just acknowledge it without trying to figure anything out Just give it space,
Just see it,
It doesn't have to be anything,
It just is Notice all the places it sits in your body,
How much space it takes up,
How heavy it feels And remember the emotions we feel are messages,
We are meant to feel them not push them away We notice them,
Acknowledge them and allow them to move on So whatever emotion you're feeling now,
Just see if it's ready to move on Irritation or frustration,
Disappointment,
Just allow it to drift away The ebb and flow,
The rise and fall,
Normal emotion comes and goes Often it's the story we attach to it that makes us hold on,
When we detach the story we allow it to leave I'm never annoyed for the reason I think,
I'm never angry for the reason I think,
I'm never afraid for the reason I think I'm here,
I feel,
I exist and that needs no explanation Just acknowledge now your whole body,
Your whole and complete body,
A perfect body,
A perfect being In that acceptance,
Breathing out and releasing what no longer serves you,
Acknowledging and sending love to your whole body Acknowledging you're doing the best you can,
Taking a final big deep breath in and exhaling Feeling your body in the chair,
In the surface beneath you,
Bringing some movement into your hands and feet,
Your arms and legs,
Your shoulders When you're ready,
Opening your eyes and coming back to your day and have a beautiful inner day
