Just as the silence within us has its own dynamic through the flow of thoughts, feelings, and sensations, life itself is subject to permanent change, a constant coming and going. With this meditation, we want to open ourselves to all the movements of life and connect with the part that does not lose the love for life even in difficult times. It is an invitation to open to life and to accept it in love and trust. Music by Tim Moor.

Hello and welcome to this meditation.

I am Martin and it's great to have you here.

Take a moment to set yourself up for this meditation.

Find a quiet place where you can be for yourself and take a lying or sitting position.

Make yourself completely comfortable and make sure that nothing disturbs you anymore.

And whenever you are ready just close your eyes.

Take a deep breath and allow yourself to let go with the exhale and to completely arrive in yourself.

Just let yourself fall completely inward and then feel your body in its wholeness for a moment,

Its whole shape and form.

Also feel the contact to the ground and become aware of how you are completely present in your body,

Completely in the here and now.

Just let yourself be completely held by this moment and then turn your attention to your breath and see where you can perceive your breath most easily.

Maybe you feel the in and out flow of your breath at the tip of your nose or maybe you notice the gentle rising and lowering in your chest or in your belly.

Wherever you feel your breath just observe its natural flow for a moment.

Just follow its rhythm without interfering or changing anything.

Just notice how your breath comes and goes,

How it comes and goes in a steady flow all by itself.

And so with each breath allow yourself to let go a little bit more and fall more and more inward.

Let yourself become a little calmer with each gentle breath and connect with your silence,

Your inner silence.

And in your inner attitude become aware that there is nothing to do right now.

In this attitude you can simply be completely open for everything that wants to show itself and everything is allowed to be just as it is and also to come and go just like the flow of your breath.

And maybe you notice that your inner silence is not that silent at all sometimes.

Maybe the silence is even quite alive.

Allow yourself to be completely open and curious in your inner space and just observe what wants to show up right now.

Become aware of the dynamics of silence.

Maybe you can observe how thoughts arise,

How they come and go.

Or maybe sometimes you follow a thought for a moment before it becomes quiet again.

Maybe an emotion suddenly appears and stays for a while.

Or maybe you suddenly notice sensations in your body right before new thoughts and feelings arise.

And maybe you perceive a sound from time to time,

Very close or far away.

And then for a moment it becomes completely quiet again.

A permanent coming and going,

Liveliness in silence.

Just stay completely open in your inner space and stay in love for everything that wants to show up.

And you don't have to do anything with it.

Everything is an expression of your own being,

Your own aliveness.

Try not to interfere,

Not to control,

Nor to judge.

Just remain a loving observer for a moment,

Connected to the vastness and aliveness of your inner space,

Trusting that everything is just right.

Just let it happen.

And then allow yourself to see what it would be like if you encountered life itself with this attitude.

How would it be if you also met life with total openness and love,

Completely in trust and devotion?

How would it be if you would also let life simply happen,

Without all the constant judgments,

Attempts of control and all these ideas of how things should be?

Like the dynamics of silence,

Life itself is in constant motion,

A constant flow of coming and going,

Becoming and fading,

Permanent change,

Permanent transformation.

Looking inward is also a look at life,

And in that every moment is new and unique.

How would it be if you met every moment with love and trust,

Both the ups and the downs of life,

Both the joy and the pain,

All the light and all the darkness?

All this is part of the natural flow of life.

Maybe this thought is very difficult.

Maybe you have experienced too many times of pain and disappointment.

Maybe you have often had the feeling that life does not mean well with you.

And maybe you have often closed your heart to life in order to protect your heart from pain.

But allow yourself for a moment to feel deeply into your heart,

No matter how thick the walls may be.

And maybe you get a sense that there is something in your heart that is still open and curious,

Something that simply loves,

No matter how life is playing out.

Something that accepts life in all its fullness and sees every moment with the eyes of a child.

Something that simply trusts and knows that life means well,

That every moment has an importance.

Something that meets each moment with a smile,

Meets each moment with love.

This is the essence of your heart,

The most powerful part of your being,

A core that cannot be shaken and that simply outlasts every moment in the dance of life with love.

And maybe you can allow your heart to open,

Even if it is just a little.

Open your heart and allow the flow of life to flow right through it.

So you will be able to meet each moment with love and compassion.

And life will meet you with love.

Stay connected to your heart and the light within it,

That inexhaustible source.

Allow yourself to carry the light of your heart into your life.

Stay in love and trust for the flow of life,

The eternal change in which nothing remains as it is.

Let the light in your heart continue to shine.

But whenever you are ready,

Slowly allow yourself to come back.

Then take another deep breath and finally slowly open your eyes again.

Lots of love to you,

Yours,

Martin.
