I've been there too... social media pulls you in and you end up scrolling for 30+ minutes. It doesn't feel good. The comparison... The self-doubt... The belief that you need to buy x, y,z to be worthy... My friend, take time to reset and let go of what feelings came up after scrolling for too long. Be gentle with yourself.

Hi friend,

This is for you after you spend time scrolling on your phone.

Maybe it's been an hour,

Maybe it's only been 20 minutes or even just five minutes and you start to notice your energy shift and you feel off or down for no reason.

This is a meditation for you to reset your mind.

I hope this helps and I want you to know I've done it before too.

We all get sucked into social media and forget that life is happening right here,

Not on our phones.

Right away let's find our breath.

Inhale through your nose.

Big sigh.

Maybe a couple more deep breaths and on your exhale releasing some sound.

Letting go of whatever you picked up when you were scrolling.

Inhale.

Breathe it in.

Big sigh.

Closing your eyes if that feels okay.

Noticing how great it feels to not look at anything or anyone else's life.

Breathe in.

Breathe it out.

There's nothing for you to compare to.

There's no one you need to become.

There's nothing you need to buy.

You are right on time.

You are enough right here.

Breathe in.

Let it go.

Just notice how it feels to not consume anything.

To just be in the stillness and the silence.

How does it feel to be here for your life?

How does it feel to be in your reality instead of someone else's?

And that's the thing my friend.

Social media and everything that everyone posts is a highlight reel.

And we assume that everyone else's life is perfect.

And so we subconsciously start to feel down on ourselves and our life and our circumstances.

May you remember social media isn't real life.

Right here is real life and it's enough.

You are enough.

Breathe in.

Big exhale.

Start to feel the comparison float away.

Feel whatever you thought you needed or wanted float away.

It doesn't matter.

You don't need anything.

Feel the doubt drift.

You are on your own journey.

Your life is happening outside of your phone.

May you set it down.

May you breathe and soften into your life right here.

Letting go of the distractions.

Choosing to avoid the scroll.

Avoid numbing.

And just be here with it all.

Your phone doesn't need your attention.

You need your attention.

Seeing yourself right here.

Breathe in.

Big sigh.

Just notice how you feel now.

Notice the subtle shift within you.

How maybe this is what you needed all along.

To be quiet with your mind.

To come back into your heart.

To see yourself with loving awareness.

Breathe in.

Breathe out.

Without any shame,

Just bringing more awareness to the moments where you reach for your phone instead of reaching for your own heart,

Your own hand,

Your own presence.

Take a moment to be really proud of yourself for choosing to turn inward.

To breathe yourself full again.

Breathe in.

Breathe out.

There you are.

Welcome back from my heart to yours.

A terrific meditation. The music’s chord sequencing was just ideal and meshed with your words beautifully. It left me feeling very “heart centered.” Thank you!
