I invite you to find comfortable posture.
Come fully into your body and to see how your body feels in this moment.
Ideally you would have a straight but relaxed back.
Just take a moment to come fully into this present moment,
Where you are right now,
What the reality is for you right now.
You can gently close your eyes or soften your gaze and bring your awareness to your breath.
You can feel your breath as it flows in and as it flows out.
You can follow your breath in any way that's most comfortable for you.
You can feel your belly rising and falling.
You can feel how your chest makes way for your breath and your breath expands your body.
You can feel if your breath is deep your shoulders rising and falling.
You can feel the air passing through your nostrils.
You can really use the breath to come more deeply into the present moment.
Our breath is always with us.
We don't have to think to breathe,
But in the same way we don't have to really think to observe our breath.
We just set the gentle intention and use our natural awareness and just focus that on our breathing.
On our belly rising and falling.
On the air passing through our nostrils.
Or how the air goes through our nostrils and into our chest and then out again.
Whatever feels most comfortable for you.
Whatever relaxes you more.
If ever you find your mind wandering,
Caught in one thought or another.
You can just smile and bring your awareness back into our breath.
Back into our bodies.
It is as simple as breathing in.
I know I'm breathing in.
Breathing out.
I know I am breathing out.
It may be that you observe many thoughts.
Thoughts in your mind.
Thoughts about the past.
Mental formations arising from this present moment.
Thoughts about the future.
This is perfectly normal.
We're always thinking thoughts in our day to day life and when we stop.
