Embracing the season of change.
Welcome.
Let's begin by finding a comfortable position,
Either seated or lying down.
Allow your body to settle into the surface beneath you.
If you're seated,
Feel your sit bones rooting into the ground.
If you're lying down,
Sense the full support of the earth beneath you.
Take a slow,
Deep breath in through the nose and exhale softly through the mouth.
And again,
Inhale deeply and exhale completely.
With each breath,
Feel yourself arriving more fully in this present moment.
Let go of where you have been and what's to come later.
Nothing to do,
Nowhere to be,
Just this.
Now bring your awareness to your body.
Notice any places that might be holding on.
Your shoulders,
Your jaw,
Your belly.
Imagine your exhales melting away any remaining tension.
Each breath out,
A gentle release.
Each breath in,
A quiet invitation to presence.
As your body softens and your breath steadies,
Begin to sense the subtle rhythm of the season around you.
Fall is a time of transition,
A gentle turning of the earth.
The air cools,
The light shifts,
And nature begins to slow down.
In this slowing there is wisdom.
As part of this natural world,
You too are in a process of change.
Releasing what is no longer needed,
Making space for what's to come.
Let your breath mirror this rhythm of release and renewal.
With each inhale,
Imagining drawing nourishment inward,
Just as the tree roots do.
You are safe to let go.
You are safe to rest.
Now,
If it feels right,
Allow these contemplative questions to drift through your awareness.
There's no need to find answers.
Simply listen and notice what arises.
What are you grateful for this year?
How can you create more balance and bring a little more self-care and nourishment into your life?
What is one thing you can let go of to feel a little lighter?
Are there any seeds you wish to plant for the coming season?
As these reflections settle,
Bring your awareness back to your body,
To the steadiness of your breath,
To the quiet rhythm of your heart,
To the gentle support beneath you.
Just as the trees draw their energy back into their roots,
Feel yourself reconnecting with your own inner anchor,
Rooted,
Grounded,
And calm.
Trust that transition is a form of transformation,
Guiding you gently towards new beginnings.
Take a few more breaths here,
Inhaling nourishment,
Exhaling release.
Take a moment to honor the peace you've cultivated.
And only as you feel ready,
Begin to deepen your breath.
Gently invite movement back into your fingers and toes.
Perhaps roll your shoulders or softly turn your head side to side.
And when you're ready,
Slowly open your eyes.
Take in the space around you.
Carry this sense of groundedness with you,
Knowing that even in times of transition,
You are held and supported.
May the seeds you've planted today bring you nourishment and strength as you move through the rest of your day.
May there be peace above you,
Peace below you,
Peace all around you,
Peace to your mind,
Body,
And spirit.
Thank you so much for practicing with me today.
I always love to hear from you.
Please leave me a comment and let me know how you're feeling after this guided meditation.
I hope you have a wonderful rest of your day.
