Hello everyone,

My name is Faye Brooks and I would like to thank you for being here today.

The purpose of today's meditation is to rid yourself of guilt by taking a moment just for yourself and to realize that taking time for yourself is not selfish,

But an important step necessary for you to be able to do anything for anyone else.

It does not matter if you want to sit or stand,

But make sure you find a comfortable place and a place that you can be alone.

We'll start by slowing down our breathing and lowering our blood pressure.

So close your eyes and begin by taking one breath in until your lungs are completely full.

Hold that breath for three counts and then release it with a sigh.

So take the first breath,

Hold and release with a sigh.

Take another breath in,

Hold and release with a sigh.

Take one more breath in,

Hold and release with a sigh.

Now for the next part of this meditation,

You may repeat after me or if you prefer not to speak,

You do not have to because your subconscious is always listening and always learning regardless of whether or not you're speaking.

This moment right now is for you.

You are a good friend and a good family member and a good employee,

But in order to continue to be so,

You need to rest.

So this is your moment to rest.

There is nothing else you should be doing right now.

This is the most important thing you can do for yourself because by taking care of yourself,

You are enabling yourself to take care of everyone else.

You are entitled to a moment of rest.

You are entitled to use this moment to only think about yourself and what you need.

You are doing a good job.

You are taking care of yourself.

You are breathing and continuing to fill your lungs with the air that fuels your body.

Continue to breathe in and out,

In and out.

You are filling your mind with peace and stillness.

You are giving your brain much needed time to relax.

You are going to recharge and reset.

And remember,

You are entitled to this moment of rest and you will enjoy this moment of rest.

Permit yourself to relax,

Sink into the support below you.

Continue to breathe.

Let calm and stillness take over your mind and your body.

Remember to show yourself the compassion that you show everyone else because you too are entitled to compassion.

You are entitled to this moment of rest.

Continue to breathe in and breathe out.

Breathe in and breathe out.

You are doing a good job and there is nothing else that you should be doing right now.

Right now,

You are doing the most important thing that you can do for anyone.

You are resting and recharging and taking care of yourself so you can do more later on.

You are entitled to this moment of rest.

Do not be hard on yourself if your mind wanders.

It is natural,

But just return to this moment when you realize you have gone astray,

Where you are permitted to suspend thoughts of everything else you need to do.

This is your moment.

You are nourishing both your body and your mind and bringing stillness to your life.

In this moment of relaxation,

In this moment that is just for you,

You are doing a good job.

You are doing the best thing that you can do right now.

You are resetting and recharging and taking care of yourself.

You are enjoying your moment of rest.

Now as you slowly return to real life,

Remember that you need to recharge and reset,

Even if only for a few minutes,

Because you are entitled to time to yourself without feeling guilty.

Remember that you need to take time for yourself and you need that time to yourself in order to take care of everyone else and everything else.

So show yourself the compassion that you offer other people,

The dedication that you offer other things,

And show it to yourself by taking just a few moments every day to relax and recharge to clear your mind.

And always remind yourself that you are doing the best thing that you can do and that you are entitled to rest.

Thank yourself for taking time on yourself.
