Are you feeling antsy and you're vaguely aware that you don't like how it feels?
I've got you.
Sit and relax and let's meditate.
Okay so first sit and just become aware of your body in this moment.
Settle into your favorite meditation posture.
Notice the sensation where your body touches the chair or the ground.
Notice the sensation where your feet or your legs touch the ground.
Become aware of the support from the chair,
The ground,
The earth and just surrender into that support.
Relax into it.
Become aware of your hands.
Notice where they contact your lap.
Feel the heaviness of them as they surrender to the support.
Notice if you can feel any warmth or sensation within your hands and notice that you're breathing.
Notice your breath wherever it's the most comfortable to notice it.
Maybe you feel it at the nostrils.
Cool as you breathe in.
Warm as you breathe it out or maybe you notice it at your chest as your chest expands and contracts with each breath.
Or maybe you notice it in your stomach.
Maybe you feel the tension as your stomach expands against the waistband of your pants or your clothing and the softening as you breathe out.
And if you're feeling antsy,
Maybe there's a sensation in your body somewhere.
Maybe the awareness is getting tucked to that sensation.
Just allowing your awareness to be shining a light on that sensation is really a healthy thing to do.
You don't need to engage with the story and if you are engaged with the story that's okay too.
But if it naturally goes away and you are aware of the sensation again that's enough.
You don't need to do anything about the content of the story.
You don't need to do anything to change the sensation one way or another.
Just noticing what you feel in the moment is enough.
The body is intelligent and it is able to heal itself.
And it's very good for it to be paid attention to in this way.
And you might notice a resistance to feel in the sensation and that is okay too.
That also doesn't need to be changed.
You can just become aware of that resistance and that's enough.
You can allow that awareness to naturally move as it wants to.
It can follow the sensations if they change.
And if they stay the same you can just stay right with them without any expectation of what should or shouldn't be.
The sensation may have a kaleidoscope of colors swirling,
Moving,
Or they might be very solid,
Dense,
Stable.
Whatever is being noticed in this moment is just fine.
Whatever the body's doing is absolutely perfect.
And you're engaging with the body in this way.
It's very healing.
See if you can just allow your awareness to track the sensations,
Whether they change or whether they stay the same.
If a thought comes up that's absolutely perfect.
You don't need to do anything about the content of the thought.
You can just notice it.
And if it subsides you can allow your awareness to go back to the kaleidoscope of sensations in your body.
Enjoy the show that your body's putting on for you.
