Namaste.
If we stop for a second and place our attention inside,
We may notice a certain type of tension,
A type of strain or stress.
Close your eyes and go inside and see if you can feel it.
It could be the feeling of anxiety or a feeling like something bad is about to happen,
Maybe stress and a wonder what would happen if it was to lift,
If it was to dissipate,
Even for a minute,
Even for a few seconds.
But the good news is you know it's there.
You can feel it.
It is not you.
It's just what's happening in your body right now.
At this moment.
This moment.
What does this moment mean?
Does it mean now?
Or the now?
The now where there is no past or no future.
It's just this.
And so we can let down to right here and right now.
Kavultu anish.
Kavultu anish.
Where are you now?
And what are you doing?
Are you laying on a bed?
Sitting in a chair?
Are you on a bus?
Are you driving?
Are you drinking a delicious coffee?
Are you working?
Are you walking?
And we just make this story simple.
The story of you.
For example,
I am a mother sitting in a cafe drinking coffee and I am feeling sad right now.
Two,
I am sitting on a chair.
So you lesson the story.
I am not an unhappy person.
I'm a person sitting on a chair at work.
Or I am sitting on a chair.
Or I am sitting.
Or I am.
Just I am.
Can you see that?
So the story can be simplified.
And you can drop all of that added complexity and make it simple and joyful.
Because joy is the absence of stress and tension.
And speaking of tension,
Let's place our attention on that inner tension and just notice it.
It's embodied isn't it?
And where is it in you?
Is it in your shoulders?
Your neck?
Your tummy?
Is it all over?
Just watch it.
And acknowledge it.
You don't have to do a thing but notice it.
And notice that it's not you because you are looking at it.
It's just tension.
It's impersonal.
And it's happening without your volition.
So now let's play with it.
Now try this for a few seconds.
Let your shoulders drop.
Don't hold them.
Don't hold them up.
Just let them drop.
And feel the change.
The change from holding on to softness and ease.
Now it might be very subtle but notice the difference between the stress and the ease.
Let them drop more.
Can you feel that?
Now is it possible that we are all walking around all day long with that monkey on our backs without noticing it?
Like a noise that is constant and you just get used to it.
And don't notice it.
But now you know that it's there.
And that stress,
As we all know,
Can cause our bodies a lot of problems.
So what do we do?
We don't want to fight.
We don't want to ignore it.
We just want to watch and maybe see what happens when we breathe and watch how it reacts to the breath.
But we don't use control.
We use a little fun.
Together what we are going to do is take in three breaths.
Three seconds in.
Three seconds out.
And as we do we are going to imagine that with every breath we leave out we are going to feel our bodies loosen up,
Soften,
Become more limber and at ease with every out breath.
The breaths don't need to be controlled too much or too strict.
Just in through your nose and out through your nose.
Unless it's blocked.
Then you use your mouth.
Every time you breathe out imagine your heart rate dropping.
Nose has no need to hold on and everything looks after itself.
The controller falls into the background.
So on Viltorek,
Are you ready?
Breathe.
Breathe in.
One.
Two.
Three.
And let go.
One.
Two.
Three.
Now fall into the loving support.
And breathe again.
Breathe in.
One.
Two.
Three.
And let it out.
Breathe in.
One.
Two.
Three.
One,
Two,
Three and let it out.
Breathe in,
One,
Two,
Three and let it out.
One,
Two,
Three.
Now feel your heartbeat slow way down.
It doesn't have to work as hard anymore.
The symphony in your body is playing all by itself in its own rhythm.
So breathe in,
One,
Two,
Three and let it out.
One,
Two,
Three.
And notice,
Notice that the body is soft and the tension is almost undetectable.
One more.
Breathe in,
One,
Two,
Three and let out the tension.
One,
Two,
Three.
Now listen to the quiet.
Welcome to the now,
To the peace.
In this silence there is no past,
There is no future.
There's just your body feeling more and more at ease.
Listen to the silence again.
Feel how relaxed your body is.
Your ego has left your body.
The tension is no more.
One more.
Listen.
This is you and it is me.
We just forget sometimes.
We are the silence.
But it's not that hard to find your way back home when you are already home.
It's just that sometimes the house is a bit noisy.
But when we breathe and relax and when we quieten it,
We bring a little Feng Shui and we see that the home is a nice place to be.
Welcome home.
Enjoy the silence.
