Namaste.
This is Danielle.
Welcome back to my channel.
This is a Yoga Nidra practice for balance.
Before we begin,
Please consider subscribing to my channel.
This is a wonderful way to improve balance,
Both physical and emotional.
Take a moment to find a comfortable lying down position like Shavasana or Corpse Pose.
You may use blankets or a pillow under your knees or wherever you may want more comfort.
Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths,
Allowing yourself to settle into the present moment.
It should feel so comfortable you can begin to sink into the floor or your mat,
Feeling a sense of support beneath you.
Take a few deep breaths,
Letting go of any tension or stress you notice in your body.
Now move your awareness to your armpits and draw a line to the center of your chest,
Moving down into the center of your being.
It's time to set your sankalpa,
Your intention for your practice,
From your heart space.
If you don't have a sankalpa that you're working on at the moment,
Might you repeat,
I am creating balance and peace within myself.
You may whisper it three times to yourself from your heart.
I am creating balance and peace within myself.
Now we will rotate attention through the body.
Imagine and welcome in a soft,
Gentle beam of light,
Inviting peace and balance through your body.
As you bring your attention to each point,
A sense of deep rest to move through the whole body,
Starting at your tongue,
Lips,
Moving up to your forehead,
Eyes,
Eyebrows,
Beam of light moving towards your cheeks,
Softening,
Ears,
Down through your neck,
Right shoulder,
Arm,
Hand,
Right thumb,
Index,
Middle,
Ring,
And pinky finger.
Shift to the left side,
Left shoulder,
Left shoulder,
Arm,
Hand,
Left thumb,
Index,
Middle,
Ring,
And pinky finger.
Both shoulders,
The whole shoulder girdle,
A beam of gentle,
Calming light.
Feel your belly rise and descend.
Feel the balance,
Breath in and out.
Move to your pelvis,
Your awareness to your pelvis,
Right hip,
Upper leg,
Knee,
Lower leg,
Right ankle,
Foot,
Big toe,
Second,
Third,
Fourth,
And fifth toe.
Your whole left leg,
Feel your pelvis and legs relax.
Feel the balance,
Breath in and out.
Move to your pelvis,
Your awareness to your pelvis,
Right hip,
Upper leg,
Knee,
Lower leg,
Right ankle,
Foot,
Big toe,
Second,
Third,
Fourth,
And fifth toe.
Your whole left leg,
Feel your pelvis and legs relaxed.
A calm beam of light,
Relaxing your legs.
In and out,
Belly rising and falling.
Feel the whole back body relaxed.
Move to the top of the head.
Relax the brain,
The frontal lobe,
Occipital lobe.
Relax the brainstem.
A beam of light moving all the way down the brainstem,
Soothing,
Calming.
Feel the whole back of the body relaxed.
Now imagine a white light shining down upon you,
Filling you with a sense of balance and calm.
Now as you feel this state of relaxation,
Allow yourself to sink deeper and deeper into stillness.
Bring your attention to your right foot and imagine it growing heavy and sinking into the ground as if it is rooted into the earth.
Now bring your attention to your left foot and imagine it growing heavy and sinking into the ground.
Begin to feel this state of balance,
Feeling both feet rooted to the earth.
Now pay attention to your right hand.
Imagine it growing heavy and sinking into the ground as if rooted to the earth.
Move your attention to your left hand and imagine it also growing heavy and sinking into the ground.
Feel both hands rooted to the earth in this state of balance.
Move your attention to your right side and imagine your whole right side growing heavy and sinking into the ground as if rooted to the earth.
Bring your attention to your left side and imagine it also growing heavy and sinking into the ground.
Feel the body in a state of balance,
Your entire body rooted to the earth and balanced.
Bring your attention to the top of your head and imagine a bright white light shining down upon you,
Filling you with a sense of balance and calm.
Feel the state of relaxation.
Allow yourself to sink deeper and deeper into stillness,
This stillness creating balance.
As you continue to breathe and see the white light on your body,
Recall a place or activity that brings you a sense of peace and calm.
It could be a place in nature,
Such as a mountain landscape or a beautiful beach,
A cozy beach.
It could be something you do,
An activity like painting or gardening.
Allow yourself to fully immerse in this place or activity,
Feeling the peace and balance it brings you.
Imagine yourself there now fully immersed in the sights,
Sounds and sensations of this place.
Allow yourself to relax as you continue to hold this image in your mind.
Notice how your body feels heavy,
Supported and balanced by the earth beneath you.
As you continue to hold this image in your mind,
Allow yourself to relax a bit further and notice how your body feels heavy,
Supported,
Balanced while basking in the glow of light,
Healing from darkness,
Basking in the beauty that surrounds you and the earth beneath you.
When you are ready,
You can recall your Sankalpa.
I am creating balance and peace within myself.
You can whisper it to yourself three times.
Now take your time.
When you're ready,
Slowly begin by taking a breath in through your nose and a sigh out through the mouth with ease and peace.
Once again,
Breathing in through the nose and out through the mouth.
Relax your belly.
You can begin to move your fingers and your toes,
Taking a very gentle stretch,
Letting the eyes stay closed till the very end.
Take your time coming back.
As you begin to come back and you feel a little more movement and you feel the present moment,
Take a few more deep breaths.
You can roll to one side into a fetal position and observe how you feel.
Observe the sense of calm and peace.
Begin to push yourself up,
Letting your eyes start to slowly,
Very slowly open and only just a bit,
Just enough so you can see in your own space.
Now as you begin to move into the rest of your day or into the night,
Bring that balance and peace and calm with you into your movements.
Be patient with yourself.
Namaste.
