Hello!

I am Natasha Thompson of The Well Canada and I'm here today to guide you on a dynamic breathwork journey.

Breathwork is one of the most effective and accessible ways to move stuck emotions,

To relieve pain,

To enhance clarity,

And to elevate your mood.

This particular practice has been designed to push you outside of your comfort zone.

It has been created to develop endurance and strength and to enhance your ability to simply feel and understand what may be holding you back in this life.

Awareness is everything and once we can better feel and understand then our life begins to change around us.

May this breathwork practice be a beautiful opportunity to come home to yourself,

To listen,

And to take care.

Please know that you are in control of the journey that is about to unfold and at any time you can take a slow deep breath in and a long exhale out to return back to a normal natural state of being.

To begin please come to a position lying down on your back and allow yourself to be warm enough maybe taking a moment to pause this meditation to grab a blanket or a pair of socks or a pillow anything that will enhance your comfort anything that will make you feel even more at ease and as you settle as you lay and recline and open up to being held and supported by the floor underneath you you begin to allow your eyelids to close down heavy and you take a couple of deep and intentional breaths in to your body to your lungs.

See if you can encourage these breaths to be the deepest that you've taken all day so far.

Accessing down into the depths of your lungs and releasing anything and everything out through your mouth and so every breath in comes in through the nose all the way down deep and full and every breath out is an audible open mouth exhalation.

Do this a few more times breathing in through the nose the biggest and deepest breath of your day and parting the lips opening the mouth and sighing the air out breathing in breathing out breathing in breathing out and allowing the mouth to close the breath to enter and exit through the nostrils and you're feeling and you're noticing the air coming in and leaving as the body is still as the eyes remain closed conscious connected breathing the simple act of being held and cradled and supported by the earth below you and continuing to watch the air coming in and the air that is leaving your lungs and then from this place of stillness from this place of relaxation and witnessing and awareness please allow an intention to bubble up into your mind's eye and this intention can be related to your day your week your life just allow anything to blossom and fill into your mind's eye as you get clear on what you want to call more of into your experience let any feelings colors memories let them all bubble up and allow this to blossom into language into an intention what do you want to call more of into your life continue to breathe in through the nose and begin to part the lips and let the air leave through the mouth inhaling fully through the nose exhaling through the mouth on your next breath in through your nose pause at the top and then take a second breath in through the nose the deepest breath you can in and open through the mouth exhale and do that again breathe in twice through the nose long exhale out breathing in twice through the nose exhaling out through the mouth keep breathing just like this twice in through the nose long exhale through the mouth at the base of every exhalation you take another two breaths in and as you breathe out you breathe out through the mouth and sigh all the air out at once see if you can follow the pace of this breath keep breathing in twice through the nose and letting it all out through the mouth you have two minutes left in this experience two minutes left and you may be noticing some heat that's being generated in the body you may notice some tingling sensations in your limbs and the top of your head this is all welcomed this is the fire that lives inside you being stoked and this is how we begin to burn away the edges of resistance allowing ourselves to meet challenge and struggle with more resilience this is all happening as you breathe keep breathing just like this keep breathing yes you can last 45 seconds to find out what you are truly capable of keep breathing when the mind says no the body says yes by just taking another two breaths in and letting them all go through the mouth keep breathing keep breathing yes you can do this yes you can do this last 20 seconds dig deep find what you are truly made of keep breathing dig deep for five four three two one take a deep breath in through the nose and exhale out fully breathe out breathe out breathe out and resist the urge to breathe in just pause here completely empty relaxing the face relaxing the jaw and floating here and emptiness and nothingness for three four two four one take a deep breath into the body the deepest breath in that you can muster breathe in breathe in breathe in and hold full at the top and in contrast you begin to experience lightness fullness wholeness holding full for three four two four one part the lips and the air out take a deep breath in and a deep breath out second round this time you part your lips and you take a breath in through the mouth the deepest breath in that you can and then you exhale that same air out through your mouth as well take a deep breath in imagine you could fill all the way down to your pelvic bowl right in between your hips and then long exhale to release it all at once and breathing continuous in a cycle in a circuit just like this a deep full breath in through the mouth and a long intentional exhale through the mouth breathing in through the mouth and breathing out through the mouth and just allowing yourself a moment to get comfortable with this inspiration through your mouth into your lungs and with this expiration this exhale through your mouth as well and then you begin to pick up the pace and maybe pursing your lips to collect and inspire like a straw through the mouth as much air as you can and to exhale out completely knowing at any time you can stop and slow this down but pushing to find the edge of resistance and knowing that yes you can knowing that every sensation that arises right now is arising to teach you and show you something there is nothing in this life that comes up that comes into our focus that is designed to be pushed away it is all there to show you something keep breathing keep digging deep and asking yourself what it is that your body is trying so desperately to communicate with you right now keep breathing keep breathing keep breathing and know that you can do this know that there is something far greater than what your thinking mind could imagine waiting on the other side of this experience 30 more seconds 30 more seconds to dig deep and find out proving to your own self what you're made of keep breathing keep breathing yes you can yes you can for ten nine eight seven six yes you can five four three two one take a deep breath in through the mouth fill up and then a long exhale out breathe out breathe out breathe out let all of the air leave your body and relax here in the emptiness in a space that is just for you relax the jaw relax the belly let everything go noticing if there's anywhere in your body physically that is tingling or vibrating I'm just centering your awareness on that and we'll take a breath in in three two one deep breath into the body the deepest breath you can muster and hold full and just imagine that you can bring that sensation you can bring that feeling that space that you identified in the direction of your heart pull it up with just your mind squeeze it there maybe by pressing the back of your head into the pillow bringing your hands into a fist your toes curl in squeeze surge whatever it is that came up in the direction of your heart for three for two for one part the lips and the air out relax let it go let it go and then taking a slow and smooth breath in and a long exhale out last round this time you take two breaths in through the mouth one long exhale through the mouth as well and as your body begins to get comfortable with that two-stage pranayama with those two breaths in to one releasing breath out you begin to push the edges of your boundary and speed the cycle up keep breathing just like this you have one minute left in this experience one minute left you can do anything for one minute and if you've forgotten you are the alchemist of this body you are the one that can change its chemistry so keep breathing keep moving things keep allowing your body to release anything that may be stuck and you do this through your breath the mental chatter may enter in to protect you but you don't need that protection you are almost there 30 more seconds 30 seconds to breathe and stoke your inner fire 30 seconds to move the energy underneath the container of your skin 30 seconds to alchemize something amazing for 10 9 yes you can 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1 take a deep breath in through the mouth and a long exhale out to empty completely relax here pause here resisting the urge to breathe in and just floating in a space of nothingness feel listen it's all right there unraveling into this time and into this space letting the edges the borders of your body be wide and expansive holding empty for three for two for one take a deep full breath in and hold the air inside of you breathe in again if you can just filling up right to the top completely expanded and imagine that you can collect any sensations directly into the space around your heart and just pressing the back of the head maybe clenching the fists pressing the heels into the floor underneath you surging and cursing and squeezing all of the energy in the direction of your heart for three for two for one exhale completely allowing the breath to return back to a natural normal rhythm and just welcoming all of the lightness all of the peace and the ease into your body into your muscles and tissues stay here lying down for as long as your body and your mind are asking you to and when you feel ready you can slowly slowly open your eyes and welcome yourself back for more transformational breathwork experiences please visit Canada's well calm

Wow! I practice Natasha’s New Beginnings meditation often, but decided to try something new this morning. This breathwork meditation challenged me in the best way. I’m feeling confident, healthy, and excited to start my day. I loved Natash’a loving guidance throughout this, especially as it got more challenging. I felt like she was there holding my hand and reminding me of my strength! This was incredible!
