The power of now.

How many times are there on a day where you can decide what to do?

How many times are there where you actually can do something?

And from what place are you showing up and doing things?

The now is the only moment where you can act.

You can think before that moment,

You can think at any time,

But there is only now where the things actually happen.

There is only now where you can do something different.

There is only now where you can decide that you will show up from a different place.

Just by overthinking and analysing you will not make a seed sprout faster.

You can nurture the seed,

You can give it water,

You can make sure it has enough sunlight.

If you look at a tree,

You cannot get it into blossom faster just by overthinking.

No,

You need to nurture it.

Make sure you are in the present moment aware of what it needs.

And now the tree is of course a representative example of you.

What do you need in the current moment?

Of course you can kind of prepare.

If you have a seedling and the sun is shining very brightly,

You might prepare in putting kind of a shelter for the day,

But not by worrying or thinking all the time how it can be prevented from being sunburned.

You can change the situation.

So there is only now where you can show up and act and actually be.

So it is much more how I look at life.

From what energy do you show up?

What is your present state of being?

How do you behave right now?

Is that toxic?

Is that putting all kinds of rubbish into your system,

Whatever it is,

Right?

Whatever it is,

Whether it is toxic food,

Addictions,

Social media overkill,

Overworking.

And of course I am phrasing this black and white now.

Because we all have our weak spots.

We all have our own things we fall back into if things are not working out too good.

We,

I mean,

You can have a drink or two,

Or two more,

Or a few too many,

But overworking,

Over stress,

It is all not serving you well.

And you know that,

And still we do it,

Because it gives kind of a comfort and it is like numbing out the current moment.

So from the energy you show up in the current moment,

You can change things.

And we don't have to be that harsh on ourselves.

Of course these moments we have that we don't feel well and we need something.

We can also learn how to take better care of ourselves.

And it is not that I never have anything which is not good for my body,

But it is also bringing that awareness in how do you want to treat yourself.

Do you want to treat yourself with blaming,

With judgment,

That you cannot do that,

With shame,

Want to treat yourself with whatever it is that does not serve you,

Whether it is food,

Whether it is a certain addiction.

I don't say it is easy to change,

But I do believe if you want to make a difference in your own life and show up from a different energy,

You need to be willing to at some point start facing what you are doing.

And only then you can show up in the now and start doing things differently and start building upon that and start feeling in the now how that changes your life.

You probably know the feeling of once you have been to the gym,

How good you feel.

Sitting on the couch and blaming yourself is not going to make you feel good,

But sitting on the couch and skipping maybe a lesson in the gym because you are tired and you feel your body needs to rest.

And that is good self-care for you,

That is of course a very good way to go about.

It is getting to learn yourself better,

It is getting to get understanding of what your needs are,

Irrespective of what other people need,

Think and show up in the present moment,

Not thinking you will do that tomorrow.

Start feeling into what is now that you can change in the way of showing up.

Think about your own self-care,

The present moment where you can nurture your own tree.
