This is a practice designed to help us let go of things that don't serve us. It is a very relaxing meditation with nature sounds and faint music in the background. It is very introspective and helps us on our journey to peace, to wholeness.

Welcome.

So,

This isn't the inside fireside meditation.

The weather is so nice and it's a beautiful warm evening.

I thought we would do this under the stars.

I invite you now to close your eyes and find your balance with your shoulders while seated in a position that brings you comfort.

Or if you prefer,

You may lay down.

I will describe for you our surroundings and guide you through a process of letting go.

Begin by drawing air in through your nose to the dark corners of each lung.

And then just naturally let it go through your mouth.

You can purse your lips a bit to consciously exhale and feel the sensation.

Let's do this a few times to ground us in this beautiful present moment in which you have decided to join me in this exercise.

So,

Here we are outside.

As I mentioned earlier,

It is a beautiful warm evening.

It is clear and moonless.

And above us is a myriad of twinkling stars spelling out sacred geometric shapes.

We are in a rather large clearing in the forest,

Probably a couple of acres.

And we are immersed in a sea of wild grasses and flowers.

When you inhale,

The air is fragrant and sweet,

A mixture of blossoms and the night air.

The sun has just set,

So it is getting quite dark out.

But for a couple of minutes we will see a deep red glow on the western horizon fading away as the sun moves further around our beautiful earth.

As we move our attention closer to the fire that I built before you arrived,

We can smell the burning pine,

Hemlock,

And a nice big slow burning piece of birch.

Our fire is built from dead fall from the forest,

Responsibly harvested as nature intended.

There is virtually no wind,

So the smoke from our glorious fire goes straight up toward the heavens.

There are a few campaign style loungers around the fire for us to sit in with our feet up.

The backrests are about 45 degrees and there are plenty of cushions to support you however you feel most comfortable.

Isn't this fire beautiful?

I just love an outdoor fire at night.

There is something very primal about it.

Safety,

Comfort,

Light,

Warmth.

There is so much energy in a fire.

There is the heat energy that we are feeling right now.

There is the light energy on which we can become transfixed.

And so much more.

Often while looking into a fire,

Especially at night,

I can become mesmerized by the dancing flames.

Long before I had begun a meditation practice,

I didn't realize that I was actually doing this accidental meditation.

Watching flames just has this magical ability to grab and hold your focus.

Clear your mind of thoughts and slow your brain waves down.

So this becomes a good time to let go of some things in our lives.

Things we don't need anymore.

Like problems,

Concerns,

Worries.

Let them go into the fire where they will be consumed and transmuted into heat energy and light.

Think about my words as they pertain to you.

Deep breath in.

And exhale,

Letting it all go.

Letting go,

Letting go,

Letting go.

I am letting go.

And into the fire.

I am letting go of all that does not serve me.

I am letting go of all I am grasping for that is not meant for me.

Letting go,

Letting go,

Letting go.

I am letting go and into the fire.

I am letting go of negative energies.

I am letting go of toxic situations,

People,

And places.

Letting go,

Letting go,

Letting go.

I am letting go and into the fire.

I am letting go of expectation.

I am letting go of entitlement.

Letting go,

Letting go,

Letting go.

I am letting go and into the fire.

I am letting go of vanity.

I am letting go of low vibrations.

Letting go,

Letting go,

Letting go.

I am letting go and into the fire.

See how the fire is consuming the worries,

The anxiety,

The stress,

All that is not ours.

See the sparks,

The smoke rise up into the heavens.

Our problems consumed,

Transmuted,

Offered to the universe,

Our guides to help us.

It is important to let go of these energies.

They are taking up space inside us.

We need to make room.

We need to open up the space.

We need to welcome the new energy,

The high vibrations.

We will fill the space we created with all that will serve us on our path.

I open my arms,

My hands,

My heart to be vulnerable,

To be open to receive all that is meant for me.

All the abundance,

All the love,

All the wealth.

So I may responsibly share and transform others lives while taking care of all my needs.

Now this may sound weird,

But I too am letting go of love.

For love is not meant to be kept.

After learning to love myself as I am in this moment,

Without judgement,

Without condition,

Without guilt,

The love just flows from me.

It pours into my surroundings.

I have so much to share.

And the more I give it to others,

The more I create.

I am a font of love.

People see it,

Recognize it.

They are drawn to me.

I let it flow to all sentient beings.

Let it go.

Let it flow to all of creation.

Let it go.

Love is meant to be shared.

Letting go,

Letting go,

Letting go.

I am letting go.

Let's now just sit and watch the flames and continue our personal journey of letting go.

Let's now just sit and watch the flames and continue our personal journey of letting go.

Letting go,

Letting go,

Letting go.

I am letting go.

Letting go,

Letting go,

Letting go.

I am letting go.

Letting go,

Letting go,

Letting go.

I am letting go.

I am letting go.

I am letting go.

I am letting go.

I am letting go.

I am letting go.

I am letting go.

I am letting go.

I am letting go.

Letting go,

Letting go,

Letting go.

I am letting go.

I am letting go.

I am letting go.

I am letting go.

I am letting go.

I am letting go.

I am letting go.

I am letting go.

I am letting go.

I am letting go.

I am letting go.

I am letting go.

I am letting go.

I am letting go.

I am letting go.

I am letting go.

I am letting go.

I am letting go.

I am letting go.

Letting go,

Letting go,

Letting go.

I am letting go.

I am letting go.

I am letting go.

I am letting go.

I am letting go.

So the more we practice and get back to this meditation,

And think about the areas in our life where we like to let go of the weight that holds us down,

The more we will recognize in our day-to-day life in the present moment situations where we would grab onto something,

Hold onto it like it was ours,

And we have to carry it with everything else we carry.

But we will recognize we don't have to grab onto that.

We can just let it go.

The more you let go,

The more you open yourself up to infinite possibility that can fill the space.

When you let go of fear,

You make room for trust.

When you let go of regret,

You align more in the present moment.

How many of us have done things,

Or said things,

Or even thought things that we deeply regret?

Every time we think about it,

We get brought right back to that bad negative energy.

It's like we experience it all over again.

We suffer.

Let go of regret.

Let go of the suffering that it causes within us,

The remorse,

The sadness.

Let it all go.

What will you do today that moves you toward the light,

Away from the shadows,

Further along your path of healing?

Every little step makes a difference.

Healing is a messy business.

At different times it happens at different speeds.

Different things get accomplished.

Sometimes you feel like you're going backwards.

Sometimes you revert completely to old patterns.

But the key is the awareness,

Because you catch yourself.

Now you think,

I know better.

I reacted to my triggers.

But the more you can let go,

The more peace you will find.

It's a noble occupation,

This healing.

Every one of us needs to do it,

At some point or another.

And when you can find that peace,

That stillness deep inside,

It will feel like home.

Let it go.

Thank you for joining me by the fire.

It's been a beautiful night.

Maybe next time we'll go inside as the weather cools down and sit by the fireplace.

But until then,

I wish you wellness and peace.

Let it go.

Thank you.
