Your inner resource is an internal felt sense that you carry within you and it's unique to you.

Like drawing water from a well,

You draw strength and comfort from your inner resource.

And as you form your inner resource,

You may reflect on people,

Animals,

Objects,

Perhaps even sounds,

Tastes,

Smells,

And places that help you to recall it.

There may be other qualities that help you to access it.

Your inner resource is a multidimensional experience that you can experience through many inner and outer pathways.

My invitation for you today is for you to be curious and to open to feeling your inner resource in your body as a physical sensation.

You'll find that with practice,

You'll be able to instantly experience your inner resource at a moment's notice.

Ultimately,

The most powerful inner resource is the simple feeling of being and wholeness.

Finding an inner felt sense where you feel secure,

A place within to which you can return at any time during your practice or whenever you feel the need to take a momentary time out.

I invite you to allow yourself to settle into a comfortable resting position with your eyes open or eyes closed.

And take a moment to adjust yourself even 1% more,

Whatever is needed for every part of you to be comfortably resting.

And as you turn inward,

Welcoming the environment around you,

The sounds,

The light,

The touch of the air or the clothing on your skin,

Sensations where your body touches the surface that's supporting it,

Your entire body and mind settling into feeling at rest and at ease.

Take a moment to recall your heart's deepest desire,

Longing or mission,

Perhaps for health,

Healing or awakening.

And take a moment to affirm an intention that supports you in realizing your heartfelt desire,

Affirming it during this practice and in your daily life.

Welcoming in your inner resource,

Like drawing water from a deep well,

An inner felt sense of ease,

Security and well-being.

That sense of your inner resource in this and in every moment,

That place you can return to again and again.

Now allow my words to be your words as we scan through the body,

Bringing attention to and welcoming sensation in your jaw and mouth,

Both ears at the same time as sensation,

Skin of the face and nose,

Both eyes at the same time as sensation,

Welcoming sensations throughout the forehead,

Scalp,

Back of the head and neck,

Left shoulder,

Arm and palm,

Fingers,

Right shoulder,

Arm,

Palm and fingers,

Both hands,

Arms and shoulders at the same time as sensation,

Sensation of the chest and upper back,

Belly and lower back,

The entire torso as vibrant sensation.

Without going into thinking,

Simply experiencing sensations just as they are,

Alert and awake to sensation in the pelvis,

Glutes,

Left thigh,

Knee and foreleg,

Foot and toes,

Right hip,

Thigh,

Knee,

Foreleg,

Foot and toes.

Both legs at the same time as radiant sensation,

Welcoming now the entire body,

A field of vibrant sensation,

Alert and present,

Sensing the entire body as sensation.

And if it feels helpful,

Welcome in the felt sense of your inner resource of being and well-being,

And feelings of being secure,

Safe,

At ease.

And welcome your body breathing and the sensation of the abdomen expanding and relaxing with each breath,

The body breathing and the felt sense of your inner resource of ease and well-being with each breath.

Notice and welcome emotions and thoughts that are present in your body and mind without trying to change them,

Your experience just as it is.

If helpful,

Welcome opposites of these emotions and thoughts and actions that can help you feel in harmony with yourself and the world around you,

Noticing and welcoming all that's now present in awareness,

Experiencing yourself as unchanging awareness in which these changing perceptions are rising and passing away.

If helpful,

Welcoming in your inner resource of being and well-being and feelings of being secure and at ease.

Now welcome feelings of ease and well-being throughout your entire body,

Welcoming the joy of simply being,

Imagining yourself going about your daily life all the while awake and aware as awareness in which all of life is unfolding.

Now,

Awareness awake and aware of itself.

Gently,

Slowly,

Intentionally begin when you're ready to open and close your eyes several times while welcoming your inner resource of feeling grounded and connected to yourself and the world around you,

Feeling secure and at ease.

And as you're ready,

Come back to your eyes open,

Wide awake and alert state of mind and body,

Allowing the feeling of well-being to remain with you as you move back now into your daily life.
