This is a mantra-based meditation using the So Hum Mantra. So Hum is a universal Sanskrit mantra, which means "I Am." This practice helps to clear the mind of clutter and allow you to go deeper into your meditation. The ultimate goal is to find the "gap" that exists between our thoughts and extend it for as long as possible. The gap is where infinite possibilities are. Be well.

This is a guided meditation using the Soham mantra.

Soham is an ancient Sanskrit mantra that can be translated as I am.

Please sit comfortably and close your eyes.

Feel the ground beneath your body supporting you.

Now feel your body lifting upwards towards the sky.

Relax your shoulders away from your ears.

Relax your forehead and feel the weight of your eyebrows.

Release your tongue from the top of your mouth and allow it to gently relax.

Before we begin our meditation,

Let's ask ourselves a few questions.

Who am I?

You may not know the answer to these questions,

But this may be a good time to start this dialogue with the universe.

Who am I?

What do I want?

The answers can be material,

Spiritual,

Physical,

Emotional,

Ethereal,

Anything you would like to see fulfilled in your life.

What do I want?

What is my dharma or my purpose in life?

How can I help or how can I serve?

What is my dharma or purpose in life?

What am I grateful for?

What am I grateful for?

Now release the questions from your mouth and let them settle within the universe.

And now I want you to focus on your breath.

Let's take a deep breath in,

Expanding our diaphragm as far as you can.

And then exhale out,

Pulling in your pelvis and pushing out the air out of your lungs.

Breathe in deeply again,

Expanding your diaphragm.

And then exhaling out again,

Pulling in your pelvis and pushing out the air out of your lungs.

Do this a few more times on your own,

Focusing on your in-breath and the cool air coming through your nose.

And then on your out-breath,

The warmer air leaving your body.

Now let go completely and allow the universe.

To work out any details that it might need to.

Just sit for a few more minutes,

Simply observing the inflow and outflow of your breath.

And now let's take a deep breath in,

Expanding our diaphragm as far as you can.

And then exhale out,

Pulling in your pelvis and pushing out the air out of your lungs.

Breathing in and out.

Now take a slow,

Deep breath through your nose while thinking the word,

So.

Exhaling slowly through your nose while thinking the word,

Hum.

Again,

A slow,

Deep breath in through your nose while thinking the word,

So.

Exhaling again slowly out your nose while thinking the word,

Hum.

Allow your breathing to flow easily,

Silently repeating so,

Hum,

With each inflow and outflow of your breath.

Allow the so,

Hum mantra to take on its own rhythm deep within you.

Focus so long your breath and so,

Hum.

Whenever your attention drifts to thoughts in your mind,

Sounds in your environment,

Or sensations in your body,

Gently return to your breath,

Silently repeating so,

Hum.

Continue this process for the next ten minutes with an attitude of effortlessness and simplicity.
