When you’ve been hurt, it’s natural to protect your heart. Over time, those defences can keep us safe — but they can also leave us feeling closed, disconnected, or tense without realising why. This meditation guides you to soften those protective edges and reconnect with a sense of emotional safety. There’s nothing to force or fix here. You’re invited to feel at your own pace, in a way that feels supportive and grounded. This practice may be helpful if you’re feeling emotionally guarded, worried about opening up, or wanting to reconnect with your capacity to feel.

Hi,

I'm Kasia and I will be your guide today.

This practice comes straight from my heart and I hope it can speak to the softening and healing of yours.

You don't need to erase anything from your past to create more space in your heart.

Your heart can keep expanding.

It can hold it all and more.

Its capacity for love is limitless.

Nothing has to give for you to experience more joy.

I remember my girlfriends who were worried they will not be able to love their second child as much as they loved their firstborn.

Like it was impossible to love anyone as much,

Or find enough love inside for both children.

And then,

As soon as their second,

Third,

Fourth child was born,

The love was simply there.

Just like that.

As powerful,

As alive as before.

With no effort.

Our heart's ability to love has no limits.

What happens though,

As we go through life,

As we hurt,

Experience loss,

Hardship,

Pain.

We start building walls around our heart.

We contract.

We shrink.

We harden to protect ourselves.

It is logical,

But paradoxically,

This isn't protecting us from pain at all.

Closing our heart does not stop difficult experiences from happening.

Does not minimize challenges.

What it does do though,

Is protects us from the gentleness,

From beauty,

From nuance,

From experiencing a state of awe.

It protects us from feeling everything we are truly longing for.

It protects us from feeling whole and alive.

It guards us from deep connection with others and being authentic.

It stops us from speaking our truth and therefore living in alignment with it.

It makes every mistake and disappointment so much more potent.

It magnifies pain instead of keeping us safe from it.

It creates more tension and more stress where stress is not necessary.

It stops us breathing with ease.

It stops us sleeping with ease.

It keeps us in a cage,

Unable to live and feel freely.

Our ability to love,

If practiced,

Has no limits.

Our ability to forgive,

Open,

And choose courage over fear has no limits.

If we can build cages,

We can also dismantle them.

We can feel safe outside of the cage.

It's a different kind of safety.

One that comes from the inside.

One that does not need constant protection.

One that is so grounded and so deep,

It does not shake.

It doesn't need to fight back because it doesn't feel attacked.

Our heart,

Fully open,

Is what changes the world around us.

It cannot be broken for its capacity to heal and expand has no limits.

And the more we practice love and openness,

The stronger and more spacious it becomes.

Living from your heart,

Stepping out of that cage,

Is a practice.

Scary at first,

Very scary,

But one that gives our life meaning.

I invite you to practice feeling safe in your heart with me.

Opening,

Expanding,

Strengthening,

And softening at the same time.

If you haven't yet,

Now is the moment to close your eyes,

Soften your eyelids,

And take a few breaths here.

Notice your body moving as you breathe.

Maybe you can feel your chest expanding.

Maybe it's your belly rising and falling.

Maybe you can sense the air around your nostrils as you're inhaling and exhaling.

And take a moment to put everything else on hold for a moment.

You're here now.

Let go of the future.

Try to let go of the past.

Take a break.

And if your mind is still busy,

If it's taking you places,

See if you can bring it back.

Notice where it's taking you,

And then gently bring it back to your body.

Know that whatever is present for you is perfectly fine.

There is no right or wrong way to do this practice.

No right or wrong way to feel right now.

Try to allow yourself and your surroundings to be exactly as they are.

And take a moment to notice if there are any sounds around you.

Any smells.

Maybe a breeze or warmth of the sun on your skin.

And just feel into it.

Let go of analyzing or trying to change or improve something.

Just notice.

See if you can gently soften your face.

Start with your forehead.

Your eyes.

The space behind your eyes.

Soften your cheeks,

Your jaw,

Your tongue,

And your lips.

And now try softening the back of your head,

The back of your neck,

And your shoulders.

Allow your body to become heavy.

Whether you are sitting or lying down,

Let the surface beneath you support you.

Soften your collarbones,

Your chest,

Your ribcage,

Your middle back,

Your lower back,

And your belly.

Remember,

Whatever is present for you is perfectly fine.

No need to adjust or change.

Now bring your attention to the center of your chest,

To your heart.

You can place your hand on the heart if that feels good.

If not,

Simply focus your attention there.

And imagine that you are breathing in through your heart and breathing out through your heart.

Breathing in through your heart and out through your heart.

Taking a few breaths here.

Notice how you feel.

No right or wrong way to feel.

How do you feel in your body?

What emotions are present?

And don't overthink it,

Don't try too hard.

It can be very subtle.

Whatever you notice is great.

And as you're breathing,

Imagine that that space around your heart is softening and expanding.

If you haven't yet,

Place your hand on your heart.

And notice how your breath is moving your hand.

Notice the warmth of your hand in contact with your skin.

Maybe you can feel your heart beating.

Maybe it's the sensation or the feeling of the clothes beneath your palm.

And imagine that you are breathing in spaciousness and breathing out tension.

Breathing in softness and breathing out frustration.

Breathing in patience and breathing out irritation.

Breathing in patience and breathing out expectations.

Breathing in joy and breathing out anger.

Breathing in trust and breathing out anxiety.

Breathing in love and breathing out fear.

Breathing in love and breathing out fear.

Breathing in love and breathing out fear.

Take a moment here.

Notice your breath.

Notice your hand rising and falling.

Notice how you're feeling.

You can release your hand and take a few last moments here.

Your heart is limitless.

Your capacity to give and receive love is limitless.

You deserve to live with your heart wide open.

You deserve to love and be loved.

For love is what's truly healing and worth living for.

Thank you for practicing with me.

Sending love your way.

Www.

Mooji.
