Welcome friend,
You're here because you're feeling shut down,
Disassociating after a challenging moment,
Overwhelmed in your current environment,
Or maybe you're just feeling stuck and unable to move forward.
These feelings are challenging and we can move through them using tapping and using our breath so that we can release these feelings of overwhelm and feel more secure and confident in ourself to build more trust,
Love,
And self-acceptance.
Start by placing a hand over your heart.
Take a slow,
Deep breath.
Notice your level of feeling stuck,
Feeling overwhelmed,
Or feeling shut down,
And rate it on a scale from 0 to 10,
With 0 being completely calm and feeling free,
And 10 being completely overwhelmed.
We'll start tapping on the side of the hand underneath the pinky and repeat each phrase after me.
Even though I'm feeling shut down and closed off,
I would like to love,
Accept,
And forgive myself to move forward.
Even though it feels hard to connect with my breath,
I am cultivating presence and listening to what my body needs in this moment.
Even though I feel this tightness in my throat,
I am building trust to speak my truth with confidence.
Take a breath in and breathe out.
We'll continue tapping next,
Starting with the top of the head.
I'm feeling shut down,
Eyebrow point.
I feel my body contracted,
Side of the eye tapping on the temple.
My breathing feels constricted.
Under the eye,
I feel this tightness and this lump in my throat.
Under the nose,
I want to escape.
Chin point,
I don't want to face the situation.
Collarbone,
I don't want to do anything.
Under the arm,
I'm feeling stuck.
Wrist point,
I'm making myself small.
Butterfly point,
Tapping so that both pinkies touch.
I feel disconnected.
Top of head,
I'm feeling shut down.
Eyebrow point,
I feel numb.
Side of the eye,
My mind feels frazzled.
Under the eye,
I feel this lump in my throat.
Under the nose,
I feel disconnected.
Chin point,
I don't want to face the situation.
Collarbone,
I'm feeling stuck.
Under the arm,
I feel unable to move forward.
Wrist point,
I feel my body contracting.
Butterfly point,
I feel disconnected.
Top of head,
This feeling is overwhelming.
Eyebrow point,
I feel frozen.
Side of the eye,
My mind feels frazzled.
Under the eye,
I feel this tightness in my throat.
Under the nose,
I feel closed off.
Chin point,
I don't want to face the situation.
Collarbone,
I feel stuck.
Under the arm,
I don't want to do anything.
Wrist point,
I feel my body contracting.
Butterfly point,
I feel disconnected.
And pause,
Tapping,
And take a breath.
Let it all go.
Notice how you're feeling in your body.
Notice feelings of numbness,
Feeling disconnected,
Or feeling shut down.
If you're still feeling closed off,
Or if you're feeling activated from this exercise,
I recommend pausing and tapping through the points again,
Just focusing on your breath.
If those feelings have shifted,
If you are feeling lighter,
Tap along with me while we add in some positive affirmations for you to move forward towards expansion,
Starting with the top of the head.
Part of me is still feeling disconnected.
Eyebrow point,
It's okay to feel this way sometimes.
Side of the eye,
I choose to be present with these feelings.
Under the eye,
I am connecting with my body and with my breath.
Under the nose,
I choose to be open to receive support.
Chin point,
I can change how I feel.
Collarbone,
I trust myself and my healing process.
Under the arm,
I call my power and my light back to me.
Wrist point,
I am breaking free from what's keeping me stuck.
Butterfly point,
I am calling in confidence and courage to move forward.
Pause tapping,
Take a breath in,
And let it go.
Check back in with yourself,
With those feelings of numbness,
Feeling shut down,
And notice how you're feeling in your body now.
If you find yourself shutting down or disassociating,
I recommend returning to this practice again and reach out for support.
Shutting down and disassociating is a common problem for you.
Please know that you're not alone.
So many of us feel this way.
And we can use these tools,
Using our breath and using tapping,
To move through them so that we cultivate more presence and more self-trust.
I believe in you.
Thank you for being here.
Be gentle with yourself and take care.
