We spend too much time on screens, and it's challenging to try and switch off. By lunchtime we have been on our mobile phones and computers for hours. This information is running through our brain stimulating the paths ways and we can't switch off, this can be really damaging to our health. This meditation can help us relax, focus on our breath and centre ourselves. Making time for ourselves regularly can help promote positive pathways and using our ears is a perfect way to help maintain balance every day.

Hello,

I'm Laura and I'm going to help you detox your digital mind.

Now find a quiet place where you'll not be disturbed.

You're going to silence your phone and stop distraction from the outside and digital world.

Have a look around and make sure there's nothing to distract you.

Sit or lie down gently.

Bring your hands down by your side and make yourself into a comfortable position.

First I want you to close your eyes and notice how that feels.

Make your eyelids feel heavy and relax your face.

Take a long deep breath in and feel your chest rise up and slowly coming back down.

Take another long deep breath in and breathe out slowly.

You are regulating your heartbeat and grounding yourself.

Now you're starting to unwind with your eyes still closed.

I want you to take another deep breath in and stretch out your body and focus on a long slow breath out.

And settle down back into your comfortable position.

Now you're ready for your meditation.

Let your breathing return to a normal rhythm.

Imagine the air around you is fresh and clean.

Breathe in slowly as it fills your lungs.

As you breathe out the warm air you are letting go of your stress and worries.

Relax feeling your chest rise up and down.

You feel warm and safe.

Embrace the feeling of calmness and connect it back to your breath.

Sometimes in life there is a constant flow of information from our digital lives.

It's easy to become muddled,

Get confused or find it hard to concentrate.

It can be a challenge to find peace in our mind.

That's when you need to think about looking after yourself and maintain balance.

You're starting to feel happy and peaceful and in control.

Let's cleanse your mind and detoxify the digital overload.

You are releasing the heaviness with every breath.

Your mind is becoming free from anxiety and pressure.

You are detoxifying your visual memory.

You are sorting through your mind like you're in a library of thoughts.

Bringing more focus and more calm.

You are cleansing and decluttering.

Imagine as the numbers disappear and each word vanishes.

Let us move away.

Sentences disperse and the effects of your technological world slowly dissipates.

Have a moment and let it all go away.

You are cleaning and wiping away all the negative information.

Imagine the feeling of the sun breaking through the clouds.

A gentle,

Natural ray of light that touches your face.

Imagine it slowly travels around your face.

Down to your neck and shoulders and back up again.

It is here to heal your busy mind.

The light is gentle and soothing and slow.

You are slowing down the pace and you are feeling content and happy.

Your mind is being repaired and reset.

Your tired eyes are now purified and your thoughts are relaxed and still.

All the worries of the day are calmly disappearing into nothing.

Noticing the weight is lifted now and you feel at peace.

Carefully and slowly open your eyes.

The next time you use your digital equipment and you are feeling stressed out,

Whenever the tension is coming on or building up,

Simply close your eyes and remember to relax your shoulders.

Take a deep breath in and as you breathe out,

Feel the tension release and remember this feeling of serenity and peace.

Remember to be kind to yourself and thank yourself for this time out.

Use this technique whenever you need.

You are strong,

In control and safe now.
