On day 10, we will look at the theme of 'Emotional Walkabout' and we will do all of the steps of the walkabout (Day 2 - 9) in one meditation. The Circle of Calm is inspired by the method called 'Emotional Walkabout'. It's explained in the book 'Emotional Yoga' which is written by Bija Bennett. In the 10 meditations on the Circle of Calm, I (Marianne) will explore the method of self-inquiry with you to find answers to situations, feelings and/or thoughts that keep you busy.

Hello and welcome.

Welcome to day 10 on the circle of calm.

Make yourself comfortable.

Make sure you're warm and comfortable.

And perhaps let the hands rest in your lap.

Or perhaps you would like to place one on your belly and one on your chest.

Or maybe both on your chest and near your heart.

And perhaps start by thanking yourself for the time that you've taken to do these meditations.

And thank yourself for the honesty.

To give yourself clarity about what it is that you're feeling and what is creating that feeling like you've been doing so many times during the last nine days.

Take a moment and thank yourself for all of the work that you have done.

And then allow your hands to rest where it is most comfortable.

And then tune into the breath again.

Notice where it is most obvious in the body.

Where it is most present.

And then tune into the movement of your breath.

Just like we did on day one.

For example does your breath move quickly or slowly?

Is the movement of the breath shallow or can you feel it deeper inside of you?

So where in the body is the breath right now?

And what is the quality of your breath?

And there's no right or wrong.

Simply keep on noticing.

Keep on observing what the breath is doing.

Nothing more.

And do that for the next two minutes.

Okay.

You And then what else is present?

So apart from the breath and the movement of the breath in your body,

What feeling is present today?

And about that feeling that is present,

Do you know what is creating that feeling?

Okay.

And regarding that feeling,

What are the steps that you could take to deal with it?

Okay.

And then in case you would like to take these steps,

How could you cooperate with yourself to follow through on the steps that you wish to take?

And then if you look at the feeling from the perspective of love,

If you look at it through the eyes of love,

What do you see?

And if you bring harmony into the story,

What do you need to know to have a balanced perspective of it all?

Okay.

And then we have knowledge and wisdom left and synergy.

What would be the most exciting possibility for you right now?

Okay.

And then for the last two minutes of the meditation,

Feel the effect of your answers from today.

And if you wish to sit in silence a little longer,

You are more than welcome.

Okay?

.

So you can stay where you are and continue the meditation on your own.

Stay in silence as long as you need.

Or you can gently open your eyes and let that complete your meditation of today.

And thank you.

Thank you for having me part of the circle of calm.
