Hello,

Welcome.

This will be a five-minute guided meditation.

And the subject is finding stillness,

Finding quietude so that we may hear the inner voice of wisdom speaking to us.

Come to your comfortable seat.

Drop into your bones,

Lift your heart high.

Take a big belly breath in and a long and soothing breath out.

If you feel safe and comfortable,

You're welcome to close your eyes or cast your gaze downward.

And whether new or seasoned practitioner,

Five minutes of resting the brain while awake is very healing for the body and the nervous system.

So lean into the practice with ease,

Trusting the powerful benefits that are wrapping you,

Soothing you and healing you,

Preparing for a successful and restful sleep tonight.

Relax and expand into your seat.

Press down,

Lift your heart high.

Take a big belly breath in and a soothing,

Easeful breath out.

And notice,

Notice what's coming up for you.

Any inner dialogue.

And the beauty of this practice is that we're in the privacy of our own space so that we may be honest and vulnerable and safely expressing truth within.

Rest your bones,

Lift your heart,

Fill up and breathe in.

And release into your security.

Breathe out.

And as you become quiet in this classroom of silence,

Wisdom speaks.

Maybe there's confusion in your life,

Uncertain about next steps or you know a change is imminent.

This is the time we plant the seeds for possibility and courage.

While the practice is simple,

It's not easy but all we need to do is rest the brain while awake and come to the physical body,

Resting,

Quieting and forgiving any discomfort or distraction as it arises.

Notice where in your body you're holding tension.

Attention minus the tension.

Release.

Rest your eyes,

Let them fall heavily to their sides.

Gaze well into the distance,

Dropping at the same time comfortably into your seat,

Grounded and secure.

Resting the chest and the belly.

Rest down,

Breathe in,

Lift your heart high.

Exhale everything out.
