In this guided meditation we observe the negative energies that can naturally build up over time, and release them into the wind. Through life's storms we hold steady to our sense of self, remaining grounded and serene.

Hello,

And thank you for sitting to meditate with me in this moment.

Make yourself comfortable and begin by closing your eyes and feeling the weight of your body where it connects to the earth.

Within each cycle of breath,

Take a moment to pause and let a part of your body melt into the safety and peace of this moment.

Whatever you're feeling now,

Today,

You've come to this meditation to attend to it,

To care intentionally,

To pass through it.

Our bodies are finite,

Whereas our minds are infinitely vast and shape-shifting.

Our mental states are as complex as the worlds we move through each day,

And we naturally encounter and absorb energies that can impact us both positively and negatively.

And more often,

It seems the negative forces can build up and weigh us down.

And then these forces translate from the mental to physical,

Affecting our bodies with pain,

Stress,

Tension.

But this is always reversible,

And in meditation,

We acknowledge,

Name,

And release these mental forces in order to heal our mind and body.

So let's go through a visualization together.

Come in a vision in your mind's eye of the storm you may be in.

Feel the emotions present if you can.

Feel the temperature.

Feel the darkness and the light.

Now gently transition that image.

See that you are on a mountainside.

It's spring,

Slightly chilly but sunny,

And you've made it to a great place to watch the distant rolling mountain range below.

You see the storm out there,

The one you were just inside.

You can't feel the emotions as intensely.

You don't feel the heavy wind.

From this perspective,

Things are different.

You see the texture of the clouds,

The muted colors,

The ever so slowly shifting forms.

From here,

We can see its complexity,

Understand it without feeling its influence on us.

As you sit and watch from this tranquil mountainside,

Try to name what's causing your storm.

If it's many things,

Go slowly,

One by one.

Remember to keep breathing.

Now release the grip these forces are having on you.

Let them dissolve in the wind.

These forces can still exist.

We aren't eliminating or destroying them.

We are reestablishing our power to heal,

Strengthen,

And grow like we deserve to every day.

Good,

Bring yourself back to your body.

Find the rhythm of your breathing.

Pay attention to any parts of your body that need healing.

Release the tension.

Let it dissolve too.

You can slowly open your eyes.

Notice what's shifted in the energy around you.

Use that new information to determine how you do whatever you do next.

Know that you always,

In every moment,

Possess the power to pass through the storms you encounter.

Feel a smile form on your lips because you've done the most important work there is today,

Caring for yourself.

I love you.

You love you.

Take good care.
