Welcome.
This is a gratitude meditation.
So find a comfortable seat wherever you are by sitting up a little bit taller and closing your eyes.
Take a deep breath inhaling through the nose and exhaling out of the nose or the mouth.
Repeating this again.
In this gratitude meditation it will simply allow you to feel grateful and thankful for the things in your life and for yourself.
So take a moment to breathe,
Get comfortable and then begin to observe the breath moving up and down the body.
This breath that moves your body,
That can make you feel alive at times,
Breathless at times.
The breath that keeps you alive and well each day.
Moving the breath down the body will start at the top of the head,
The place where the dreams reside.
Allow your breath to move down the neck and into the shoulders where you may store a lot of tension here.
So feel your breath begin to release this.
Breathing in and breathing out.
Moving down into the arms where you use these arms to hold,
To hug,
To reach out for what you want in your life.
Continuing to breathe here.
Moving down into the heart,
The place of fire and passion in your life.
Checking in with your heart and feel the love radiating throughout the rest of the body.
This is a place where we hold precious moments,
Memories and also people whom we love and care for.
So take a moment to think of the people who warm your heart.
Continuing to breathe in and softly breathe out.
Moving the breath down the body into the stomach,
A place of confidence and knowing.
Feel grateful for how the body works and how it keeps moving forward and forward each day.
Beginning to feel the hips and the legs and the feet that allow you to stand tall on this earth and allow you to walk closer and closer to your dreams each day.
Take a moment to feel grateful for this gift.
Now collectively feeling the body as one whole.
Know that you are safe and supported on this journey.
Pause here to connect with your breath.
A simple inhale through the nose and exhale to release.
As you continue to breathe,
Allow your focus to be broad on your essentials in life.
What do you consider to be an essential need for your life?
Shelter,
A place to call home,
The amount of money or the amount of love,
Food,
Safety,
Family or friends,
A car,
A computer,
A phone,
Imagining your essential needs.
Begin to imagine which needs are being met for you.
Taking a moment to feel the gratitude for our daily needs being met.
Take a moment to think of a person,
Anyone in your life that has brought you a moment of joy.
Think back to how you felt,
How you looked,
How your body felt and what the day was like.
Keeping this feeling,
Imagine the feeling inside your heart,
Holding on to this feeling.
Imagine sending this out to all those whom you love or you feel could use a moment of joy in their life.
Think of this as a way to send out your gratitude as you breathe in and breathe out.
Continue focusing on your breath.
Coming back into your breath if it has left you with a simple inhale and exhale.
And whenever you need to,
Throughout your day,
Throughout your week,
Come back into this moment of joy.
Staying here as long as you'd like.
Thanks for joining for today's meditation.
