So today we're going to be working on noticing the quality of our hearts.
To begin just kind of encouraging inviting a little bit more stillness into the body.
Perhaps touching in on those body points.
Briefly,
The feet and what they might be resting on.
The lower torso and what might be supporting it.
And the back.
What you might be leaning on.
Resting against.
Feeling the stability beneath you.
And then exploring this region of the heart,
Moving to that region.
You can physically move a hand to your heart.
Or just bring your attention to that space in your body.
And so the heart is a physical organ,
As well as an emotional one.
If you can sense into your physical heart and notice how it might be feeling.
I encourage you to do so.
But this emotional heart.
Just paying attention to maybe how closed or open it feels right now.
Without changing anything about that experience.
Just observing it.
And if it feels closed in any way,
Maybe dropping in the question.
What would it feel like to be five or 10% more open right now?
Is that supportive?
Can I do that?
Or does that take me out of my comfort zone?
Is there resistance that comes up?
When I think of myself,
Opening my heart.
Is there fear?
Is there the unknown,
What will happen if I allow myself to feel?
Knowing that we don't have to walk around with our hearts,
Raw and open completely.
But there is a way that if we can nudge them a little bit to feel a little more.
We won't be out of balance.
That perhaps opening up our hearts to feel a little more gives us more information and understanding and wisdom.
There's a way we can be with a tender open heart.
And we can still find stability and balance in that.
Feeling what it is to be human allows us to experience more fully what it is to be human.
This is what the heart is meant to do.
This is the gift of the heart.
Just rest in knowing that opening up to your feelings can be pleasurable.
It can be insightful.
And it could lead you to a more fulfilling and complete experience.
