Welcome to your Releasing Your Social Media Obsession EFT Tapping Meditation.
This meditation is going to help you to release the pull that you feel towards constantly checking and scrolling on social media,
Especially if you feel you're wasting your time doing so but can't seem to take a break from it when you went to.
I also want to let you know that I am not a mental health practitioner,
So if you feel like you truly have an addiction or a severe obsession that you cannot break,
You may need to seek professional help.
I am just simply sharing with you something that has worked for me regarding social media.
You can go ahead and get comfortable,
And right now you can grade yourself from a 1 through 10,
10 being the strongest on the obsession or pull you feel towards social media.
Our goal is to lessen that number throughout this meditation,
And we will regrade at the end.
Feel free to say my words aloud with me during the meditation or just feel the words that I say.
Let's get started.
Take a deep breath in and out.
Start tapping on the side of your hand.
Sometimes I feel I'm too obsessed and maybe even a little addicted at times to social media,
But I love and accept myself anyway.
Sometimes I can't control my urge to check on social media,
But I love and accept myself anyway.
It's okay that I sometimes have a hard time controlling my urge to check social media,
And I love and accept myself anyway.
Take a deep breath in and out.
Eyebrow,
All of the obsession.
Side eye,
All of the addicting feelings.
Under eye,
All of the draw that I feel towards social media.
Under nose,
I want to release that.
Under mouth,
Feeling obsessed with social media doesn't make me feel good.
Collarbone,
I don't like the urge that I feel to check social media.
Under your armpit,
I don't like feeling like I'm missing something if I don't check it.
Top of the head,
And I want to release those feelings.
Take a deep breath in and out.
Eyebrow,
Feeling these urges aren't aligned with how I want to feel.
Side eye,
I don't want to be held down by the feelings to check social media.
Under eye,
I don't want these feelings to overtake my day.

I want social media to be a normal part of my day and nothing more.
Collarbone,

Under your armpit,
I don't like how that feels.
Top of the head,
And I want to release that.
Take a deep breath in and out.
Eyebrow,
What if social media didn't have to control my day?
Side eye,
What if I didn't feel like it was a vital part of my day or my happiness?
Under eye,
What if I felt happy doing other things in my day?
Under nose,
What if those good feelings didn't revolve around social media?
Under mouth,
What if I didn't feel such an urge to pick up my phone and scroll on social media?
Collarbone,
What if it felt good to just take a break from that?
Under your armpit,
It could feel good and productive to not be obsessive around social media.
Top of the head,
It could feel good to not have social media control my day.
Take a deep breath in and out.
Eyebrow,
I can easily immerse myself in my day to day without thinking about social media.
Side eye,
Things in my day bring me joy that have nothing to do with social media.
Under eye,
If something good happens to me,
I don't need to always share it on social media.

I also don't need to constantly know what happens in other people's lives while looking on social media.
Under mouth,
I am content without constantly checking social media.

I am content with all that I have in my life to occupy my time.
Take a deep breath in and out.

I can check or use social media when I need to without it becoming something that I need to do constantly.
Under mouth,
Checking social media constantly isn't aligned with the life that I want to live.
Collarbone,
It feels good when I'm conservative with my social media time.
Under your armpit,
When I'm conservative with my social media time,
My life feels more whole.
Top of the head,
When I am conservative with my social media time,
I can be more present in my life.
Take a deep breath in and out.
Eyebrow,
I enjoy being more present in my life.
Side eye,
Being more present in my life makes me feel good.
Under eye,
I notice I'm more present in my life the less that I check social media.
Under nose,
When I check my social media less,
I fall more into what I actually want to be doing with my time.
Under mouth,
I'm not spending as much time doing what I see others doing.
Collarbone,
When I check social media less,
I feel closer to things that my soul truly wants and desires.
Under your armpit,
My life feels better the less time I check social media.
Top of the head,
The less time that I feel I have to check social media,
The more present I feel in my life.
Take a deep breath in and out.
That is the end of this EFT tapping meditation.
If you want,
You can go ahead and regrade yourself on what you graded at the beginning of this meditation.
If you didn't grade yourself,
You can just see if you feel a shift in energy around social media and your feelings around it.
I hope this helped you to be more present in your life and have less feelings around constantly scrolling on social media if it's something that you're trying to avoid.
I want to thank you so much for listening and I hope you have a great rest of your day.
