Welcome to day 8.
Now your journey continues through the body.
Find yourself in a comfortable position with a straight back and relax your belly and shoulders.
Feel your breath and the muscular movements in your chest and abdomen.
If you want you can put a hand on your belly and let your thoughts take care of themselves for a while and keep returning to your breath.
Just follow the inhalation and exhalation again and again.
The coming days you will explore your body in new ways.
Your amazing beautiful body that changes in every moment.
Every day your cells are replenished.
All cells die to give room for new ones.
Just like all thoughts die and give room for new ones.
This process of renewal,
Of recovery,
Is greatly affected by the way we live.
Did you know that your body has a speed limit?
When we increase the pace of our lifestyle,
Our breath,
Pulse and our thoughts do their best to catch up.
It can work for a while,
But if you maintain a too high pace in your life the natural process of renewal in your body will be severely damaged.
This is why stress can actually kill us.
And it's not just your own life on the line.
When we hurry through life we often crash with others,
Ending up in unnecessary conflicts and arguments.
In the rat race of life we risk to miss what really matters.
So I suggest that you slow down for a moment,
Both physically and mentally.
Slow down to the pace of your own breathing.
This breath,
This inhalation and exhalation.
If you're walking move slowly.
If you're sitting,
Laying down or standing try to be as still as possible.
Follow your exhale and let the gravity of the earth pull your shoulders down.
Feel your weight.
As you inhale the breath fills the abdomen slowly.
Make sure to notice the pace of your breath.
Are you above or below your body's speed limit?
Let's finish by stretching the back and taking a deep breath.
Congratulations,
You have finished day 8.
