Women,
On the kite strings of grandeur and promises of fulfillment,
We have built ourselves fragile thrones and glass houses of illusion.
We stack each piece of striving promise upon the next,
Creating impeccable staircases leading to tiny windows where we peer outside and call ourselves free.
When the great endless wind comes,
We hide,
Seeing her as a threat to this idea of freedom we've built.
Yet all the while,
She has come as a messenger from your wild untamed heart,
Inviting you to join her in surrender to the endless cosmic dance that you once knew.
Unravel to rejoin the embrace of surprise,
Delight,
And miracle.
Prepare for the practice of yoga nidra,
Laying on your back in the position of shavasana in a quiet place,
Support your body so that you'll be able to remain in stillness for the entire practice.
Use pillows under your head and knees.
Keep your body warm with blankets or clothing.
And you can also place an eye pillow or cloth over your closed eyes to help relax your focus from the outer world.
When you're ready to surrender fully into stillness,
Take a deep breath in through your nose and out through your mouth.
And again,
In through your nose and slowly and silently out through your mouth.
One more time,
Breathing in through your nose,
Releasing hold of the outside world out through your mouth.
The practice of yoga nidra begins now.
Watch your breath return back to its natural flow.
Place any control of the breath and surrender mind to the safety of the breath as an inner guide towards a state of simply being.
The natural breath showing you how to simply be here if you follow it.
Back to each part of your body that is touching the surface below you.
Feel the back of your head,
Shoulders,
Hips and heels.
And sense the heaviness in these points.
Let the weight in these points show the rest of your body,
The direction of release.
All wakefulness now flowing down through the back of the body into the ground.
The back of the body relaxing and energetically opening to merge with the ground below.
Become aware of your kidneys inside your lower ribs on the back of your body.
Inwardly watch and listen in the space of the kidneys.
Sense the energy of the breath flowing towards the kidneys without effort.
Filling the kidneys with presence in every inhale.
Then as you exhale travel down the backs of your legs and out through your heels.
Imagine presence in the kidneys with the natural flowing inhale.
And moving down the backs of your legs out through your feet on the exhale.
Move your inner attention to land in the center of your chest.
Land as if arriving for the very first time in your heart chakra by simply being there.
Invite your inhale to wash relaxation and presence into the doorway of the heart.
Tilt all of your inner senses into this.
Listening,
Seeing,
Feeling and knowing the heart as it opens.
Allowing the inner space to expand.
Let the back of the heart chakra and the back of your body open and merge with the ground below you.
And the ground below you merge with all space below it.
As if to connect back and back into the essence of heart.
And fully releasing into it.
And Kalpa is a seed of higher truth moved from the innermost out.
A seed released from the heart knowing a sense of feeling or even a word that comes through the door of the heart.
Connect to what is most true by resting into exactly what is.
Exactly what is known and happening in the heart right now.
Perhaps there is a wave of energy.
An intuitive word or image.
Perhaps there is just the open space.
Listen in and allow this seed of your truth to wash over your entire body.
Merging with sankalpa now.
Becoming sankalpa now.
Remain connected to the instructions and the sound of my voice as we move one step deeper.
As the body sleeps and the mind remains awake and we begin to explore the physical sheath.
Remain still as your inner light touches each body part.
Moving from one to the next.
Let's begin in the palm of the right hand.
Feel the palm of the right hand.
Right hand thumb.
Pointer finger.
Middle finger.
Ring finger.
Small finger.
Feel the palm of the right hand and all five fingers together.
Back of the hand.
Right wrist.
Elbow.
Right shoulder.
Walk down the right side ribs.
Front of the right hip.
Knee.
Ankle.
Top of the right foot.
Sole of the foot.
Big toe.
Second toe.
Third toe.
Fourth toe.
Fifth toe.
All five toes and sole together.
Move now to the palm of the left hand.
Feel the palm of the left hand.

The soles of both feet.

Prepare to move from right to left,
Touching the joints on the back of the body.
Right heel.
Left heel.
Back of the right ankle.
Back of the left ankle.
Back of the right knee.
Back of the left knee.
Right hip.
Left hip.
Right shoulder blade.
Left shoulder blade.
Back of the skull.
Top of the head.
Feel all of the points on the back body together.
The back body all at once.
Land in the crown of your head.
Touch the center of the forehead.
Right side forehead.
Left side forehead.
Whole forehead together.
Tip of the nose.
Right nostril.
Left nostril.
Whole nose together.
Center of the chin.
Right side jaw.
Left side jaw.
Whole jaw together.
Up to the right ear.
Now left ear.
Both ears together.
Whole right side of the face.
Whole left side of the face.
Whole face together.
Sense and illuminate the flesh of larger body sections.
The flesh of the whole right arm,
Muscle,
Skin,
And nerves.
The flesh of the whole left arm,
Muscle,
Skin,
And nerves.
All the soft tissue of the torso.
The flesh of the whole right leg.
Flesh of the whole left leg.
All of the soft tissue in the whole body together.
Whole body all at once.
All of the soft tissue in the whole body at once.
We move now through the next doorway into the layer of energy and breath.
Notice the breath.
How the breath touches the edges of the physical body inside of the nose,
Lungs,
Abdomen.
The waves of energy of the breath reach beyond the physical.
Flow up the nostrils.
Reach back into the deep inner ear space.
Open the inner ears wide and spacious.
Sending energy and breath to the deep inner ears.
And descend down an energetic cord from the deep inner ears through the inner body down to the space of the kidneys.
Waves of energy riding the breath and reaching into the kidneys in the back of your body.
Sense the field around the kidneys.
As if sensing the boundary of the kidneys and the space around.
Open your awareness to merge with its language.
Follow the cord from the kidneys down the backs of the legs and into the heels.
Feel connection from deep inner ears,
Kidneys and heels together.
Explore sensing into the space around the subtle line.
As if spreading out the energy from the connection points.
Reading the energy around and blurring the edges of sensation as you move into possibility.
Now land and listen into the space of the pelvis,
The pelvic floor.
Breath and energy coloring the womb space alive.
Ojas is the nectar of life,
Like fruit,
Completely ripe,
Juicy and ready to be picked.
It moves like liquid golden honey.
Invite this nectar into the womb space.
Breath feeding the nectar into more wakefulness,
Golden liquid honey.
Feeding the nectar into the whole pelvis and kidneys now.
The ojas when ripe overflows like a golden river flowing down into the earth,
Filling the legs and the feet,
Overflowing and filling.
Invite the ripe aliveness to now fill the entire body,
Moving from the feet all the way up,
Filling with alive golden liquid.
Every piece filling up and concentrating the landing in the center of the forehead.
The center of the forehead alive and awake.
The center of the forehead melting back into the center of the brain.
The center of the brain opening.
Remain awake as you both allow the following sensations to flow while also creating them with your attention.
Remember you're safe.
Whatever arises in the body is allowed and ready to be seen.
This heavy weighted sensation in the body as if your body were turning to stone.
Heaviness each part of the body turning to stone heavier and heavier.
So heavy the body sinks deeper and deeper into the ground.
The sense of heaviness fully taking the body.
Heaviness weighing you down heavier and heavier.
And watch as the stone disappears from the body returning to relaxed neutrality.
Steady and neutral.
Now lightness.
Awaken lightness.
Light as if transforming into a feather.
So light you could sway and move with the slightest breeze.
Lighter.
Lighter and floating off of the ground almost weightless.
Even lighter.
So light.
Let the nervous system become so light and remain in connection with lightness as you re-invite heaviness into the nervous system.
Both heaviness and lightness at the same time.
So so heavy.
So so light.
Nervous system stretching in different directions.
Release the sensation.
Stand back into the soft open brain center.
We now observe emotion that is ready to be seen in the body.
Not creating the emotion.
Just witnessing what is already there.
Anger.
Anger.
Anger.
Any energy of anger in the body ready to be seen.
Ready to move.
Any tension,
Reaction in the body of anger.
Allowed forms of anger like annoyance,
Frustration.
Looking back as the body shows anger.
Anywhere where anger is being stored.
And witnessing,
Noticing the energy of anger.
Joy.
Joy.
Joy.
Allowing any joy that wants to move in the body to move.
No interference just asking the body to show where joy is.
What does joy feel like exactly as it is now?
The experience of joy as if connecting to it for the first time.
Exactly as it is moving as it is joy.
Joy.
Release the sensation.
Let awareness relax one step deeper through the doorway of visualization and wisdom.
Realize and see clearly the images that I mention moving from one image to the next.
And opening up to the inner creator,
The creative mind.
Standing in the rain.
A whale opening its mouth to eat.
Secret passages.
A single key laying on top of a mountain.
Blue smoke.
An ancient crystal.
Standing at the bottom of the ocean.
Juicy ripe plums.
A newborn baby.
An owl.
A single rose.
A single rose.
A single rose.
Cave lit by candlelight.
The edge of the universe.
The sound of a drum.
The sound of a beating drum.
The sound of a drum.
Listening more and more to the sound of the drum.
The sound calling you,
Pulling you at every edge to go deeper.
More and more to the edge of form.
As if the sound was coming from before matter.
Before space even.
Coming to the edge of the universe and hearing the sound of the drum just beyond that.
Move towards the sound.
Letting the sound wash through you.
The waves of sound merging with your body.
The body becoming wave.
Dissolve.
Dissolve.
Dissolve into waveform.
Until there is only vibration.
Reach beyond the sound.
Even more into no thing.
Fade back and beyond.
More matter.
Before sound.
Before light.
No familiar.
More and more.
Dissolving.
Fading.
Expanding.
More and more.
More and more.
More and more.
More and more.
More and more.
Letting go and resting in no thing.
Nothing.
Arises.
The movement of sound.
That turns into a movement of light.
And a tiny light landing back into the space of the heart.
And sensing the doorway of the heart opening.
Sankalpa.
Sankalpa.
Sankalpa.
Letting the language of the heart show you how to be open for sankalpa.
A seed.
A light of higher truth that you know.
Welcome to move now.
Let it pulse through you like waves of a beating drum.
Waves of the ocean.
Perhaps the heart is showing more silence and space.
Perhaps there is feeling,
Word,
Or even an I am statement.
Let the sound,
The feeling,
The knowing of sankalpa connect to each cell in your body.
Planting into every part of you as you rest into it more and more.
If there are words,
Repeat them three times.
Truth is simply washing through.
There is no tension,
It just is.
Notice the seed of sankalpa in every part of your body.
A transformation that can take place just so easily.
Just like that.
And turn your attention to notice the sound inside of the room that you're in.
The sounds all around you.
And send your breath to deepen into the space of the heart.
Inviting you to walk this way when you are ready to get up.
The practice of yoga nidra is now complete.

This is a beautiful yoga nidra practice! I felt my nervous system full ease back. The background music was just right and the guidance and teaching well paced and gentle.

This is so beautiful. There is some kind of glitch in the sound occasionally like a skip or something. Otherwise your voice and guidance is exceptional.
