In this session, you’ll gently explore significant childhood experiences or memories that may have shaped your beliefs and emotions. Through compassionate reflection, you’ll begin to understand the impact of these moments while offering your inner child the love and support they needed then—and continue to need now. This meditation creates a safe and nurturing space for healing, helping you release old patterns and cultivate self-understanding.

Welcome to the third day.
Within the nurturing embrace of this meditation and remembering the safety and support you felt from showing yourself self-compassion and love,
Today you will be guided to a new place where you can visit a significant memory that left an emotional imprint on your inner child.
This will begin your unique journey of tapping into your feelings in a way that feels good for you,
No matter what that may look like and without pressure to go deeper than what you may be ready for.
Remembering the same self-compassion you explored yesterday is always with you as you continue to heal and grow.
Through the soft light of compassionate reflection,
This meditation will guide you to shine a light on a significant experience,
With the support to guide you on how it may have influenced your beliefs and emotions.
And by continuing to try your best to offer yourself compassion,
Kindness and spaciousness,
You will have the opportunity to in turn offer your inner child the love and support they always dreamed of.
As your journey begins,
This meditation aims to create a safe space for you and your inner child to explore,
To feel seen and be supported in love,
In whichever ways this comes up for you.
You may now begin by finding a quiet,
Comfortable space where you can settle into your body,
Your heart,
Your mind.
Take this moment to connect with your breath,
Inhaling peace and love and exhaling any traces of tension,
Stress or worry.
You can use the sound of my voice to invite more peace and calm into your breath.
With a few deep,
Soothing breaths,
Feel the serenity enveloping you as each inhale brings a sense of peace and each exhale releases any lingering tension.
As we begin this exploration,
I invite you to connect with yourself and honour your feelings throughout this gentle process.
Within this space there is no judgement and although I am not 100% sure what you will find,
Know that this space is in fact filled with love,
Acceptance and understanding.
For those who may have encountered moments when emotions felt overwhelming or those who learned to conceal feelings as a way to navigate life,
I extend another,
Tender invitation to journey with gentleness,
Noticing the gentleness of your breath just for a second.
It is important for you to know that childhood experiences profoundly shape our beliefs and emotions over time.
You can think of your childhood experiences like seeds planted in the soil of our minds,
Gradually growing into the beliefs and emotions that shape our lives.
Positive experiences nurture the growth of self-worth and emotional resilience,
While negative ones can cast shadows of insecurity and fear.
You can think of these early beliefs as acting as filters,
Colouring our perceptions and influencing our interactions.
By acknowledging this link,
It is possible for us to engage in the process of tending to our emotional garden,
Fostering self-discovery and healing to ensure that our beliefs blossom into a vibrant landscape of emotional well-being.
You can imagine this garden,
And within this garden,
A door before you.
A door that opens into the realm of your memories.
Almost like a gateway to the whispers of your inner child.
Envision this door as a passage to understanding,
Compassion and healing.
And I am not sure what this door looks like for you.
You can simply notice it for a moment.
You may take a step through the door.
And as you cross the threshold,
You may feel as though you're stepping into a tranquil space.
A space of warmth and solace.
A nurturing embrace for your inner exploration.
In this space,
You may invite the memories and experiences from your childhood to join you.
Gently feeling or watching them rise to the surface of your awareness.
Whether it's one or many memories or experiences,
You can take a moment to connect back to the energy you built in yesterday's meditation.
See if you can notice your heart full of compassion,
Perhaps even inviting your intuition to guide you towards a memory that stands out.
Welcoming the experience that might have deeply stood out to your inner child.
By trusting in your intuition,
You may allow this memory to softly unfold before you.
As you connect with this memory,
I encourage you to honour your feelings gently.
You may notice the feelings rolling in,
Or you may notice that they are standing off.
However it is,
They are showing up.
Trust that they are showing up exactly how they are meant to in this moment.
If you find it challenging to fully lean into your emotions,
Remember that this is a safe space.
That you are in an environment that embraces you with love and patience.
And for those who have carried the weight of suppressing emotions,
Know that this space is an invitation to tenderly unfold those feelings.
To acknowledge them as part of your unique journey in whatever way you are ready to.
You may invite your inner child into this serene space.
Extending a hand of compassion as an invitation for them to join you on this exploration.
You may listen intently to the voice of your inner child.
Whether it's a gentle whisper,
Or a distant echo,
Or even a clear or vibrant call.
You may ask how this experience affected them,
How it made them feel and what they might have needed in that moment.
Give them the space to respond.
As you reflect on this memory,
Perhaps you may consider how it might have shaped your beliefs and emotions over time.
In this gentle space,
You may take the opportunity to offer your inner child the support and care they needed then and continue to need now.
Now,
Envision a soft,
Healing light surrounding both you and your inner child.
This light is a pure,
Loving energy that brings peace and love.
Imagine embracing your inner child in a tender,
Nurturing hug.
An act that conveys warmth and care.
Let your inner child know that you are here as a listener,
As a supporter,
As a kind guide on this journey of healing.
Allowing space for your inner child to feel seen,
To feel heard,
To feel supported.
You may let your inner child know just how much you love them.
Now,
Within the gentle cocoon of this healing light that surrounds you both,
You may begin to release any judgements or self-criticism that may linger toward your inner child or yourself.
Recognizing that imperfection is inherent in our human journey of growth and learning.
Allow yourself to envision your inner child bathed in the warmth of unconditional love,
Just as any child in the world deserves.
Now,
Wrap them in the soft embrace of forgiveness,
Offering solace for perceived imperfections.
Allow your words to flow directly to your inner child,
Assuring them that they are never alone.
Now,
You may feel called to speak these affirmations tenderly to your inner child,
Allowing their energy to receive these words with love and allowing these words to ripple through your own being.
You deserve love and a place of belonging.
Expressing emotions is safe and natural.
You are entitled to happiness and delight.
I am here to nurture you and guide you.
You are safe and loved.
With each affirmation,
Allow yourself to sense the bridge of understanding and acceptance that forms between your adult self and your inner child.
The gentle current of compassion flows seamlessly,
Intertwining your hearts just like the growing roots of the seeds you have planted.
With every breath,
The bond strengthens and your inner child begins to find comfort,
Security and a sense of being cherished.
You may begin to imagine or feel yourself merge harmoniously with your inner child,
Allowing your energies to connect through a dance of innocence and joy.
Allowing yourself to notice the playfulness and curiosity that once colored your perception of life.
Experiencing its magic through the eyes of your younger self.
And feeling the excitement of this as we will be revisiting the magic of play in our next meditation.
As you embrace the insights and emotions that have arisen,
Invite yourself to understand that this process is a significant step towards healing and is truly an act of self-love.
Slowly open your eyes.
With heartfelt gratitude for your vulnerability and strength,
Take a moment here to celebrate your courage in exploring these once distant realms.
