Welcome to your morning meditation.

This specific meditation is a mindful practice for the morning of four mothers to get ready for their day.

So first of all,

Well done for taking the time out to do your practice today.

I know it's not easy for moms to find that peace and quiet but when we do our whole day changes and we can come from a place of saintedness,

Calm and authenticity.

We can also start to learn to trust and love ourselves for the human beings we are in all its complete wonder.

The shadows,

The darkness,

The screaming,

The impatience and also the beautiful,

Caring,

Natural,

Nurturing part of ourselves.

So well done for taking time to incorporate and integrate all the parts that makes you,

You.

No mother is perfect and the more we can accept that the easier our lives will be.

So come into an easy comfortable meditative position.

Make sure that your spine is straight.

Connect your sit bones to the floor or to your mat or to the bed.

Grow tall through the spine,

Roll the shoulders back and down and lift through the crown of your head.

Your chin and nostrils parallel to the floor.

Your palms either resting up towards the sky or ceiling or down towards the floor.

If you need some energy turn them up.

If you feel all over the place turn them down to ground.

Bring the index finger into the base of the thumb making an over-exaggerated okay sign and start off by taking a deep inhale.

Don't force your eyes closed.

Just take a deep inhale fill the lungs from the bottom to the top and on the exhale side out as you become present in your own skin.

Again deep inhale this time shrugging your shoulders up towards your ears and release with a sound.

One more time inhale squeeze up the shoulders.

Hold at the top a little sip of air and release with a sound.

Blink your eyes closed and just take a moment to let go of the day ahead of you.

All the things that needs to be done.

All the energy your to-do lists everything on your calendar on your reminders.

Letting go of the needs of your family as you become completely present within your own body with every exhale.

This is your time now so consciously surrender all the hooks onto your day.

All the needs shoulds must for the day ahead and give yourself the permission to take this time for yourself.

Let go of all the responsibilities taking responsibility for your own mental health right now right here and bring your awareness to the natural rhythm of your brain.

Follow the natural rhythm in through the nose and out through the nose and starting to deepen the inhale.

Lengthening the exhale.

Soften the edges of the breath.

The morning energies are mostly supportive for our meditative practices.

So see if you can tap into the stillness of the early morning.

Almost like the little pause before an inhale.

And just rest in this quiet space.

A quiet space.

The calm before the storm so to speak.

A place where everything is absolutely perfect.

Exactly the way it is.

Nothing to do and nowhere to go but breathe.

Just you,

Your body and your breath taking a moment in stillness.

And even though they might be still thoughts or sounds drawing your attention away from the breath and this quiet place just notice and gently nudge your focus back to the breath to your body.

No way to go nothing to do but breathe.

With every exhale becoming more and more present within your own skin within this moment within this moment of vast stillness.

Soften the lines on your face,

The muscles in your jaw,

The weight on the shoulders.

You can release the tension in your belly,

The pelvic floor.

Just you,

Your body and your breath in perfect stillness.

Don't worry if you think about the day ahead or get distracted by noises.

This is not the aim of meditation.

The meditation is for you to come to stillness and notice how you feeling right here right now.

It is a gift that you give to yourself.

There's no wrong or right.

As with motherhood there's no perfect way of doing it.

You can release the mental pressure.

Just like for your meditative practice all that counts is to show up.

To show up and be present and to love.

Love yourself,

Love your children and let go of any other expectations.

You are doing the absolute best you can from a place of love,

From a place of caring,

Nurturing.

It's not always easy and who said it will be?

What is important is for you to keep showing up.

For yourself first and then move from a place of love.

You are doing the best you can.

Keep on keeping on.

You're starting to make the breath slightly audible.

Let the breath be your bridge back to the present moment.

Feel your whole body seated in the present moment.

Your whole body in perfect stillness.

Become aware of your physical body.

Keep your eyes closed as you gently move your head from side to side.

Release your mudra,

Wiggle your fingers and your wrists.

Keep your eyes closed as you bring your hands into prayer.

Creating heat in the palms by rubbing vigorously and then bring your warm palms over your closed eyes.

Allow the heat to drain into your eye sockets and then blink your eyes open.

Letting some light open the fingers and slowly drop your hands down into the lap.

Your mindfulness practice has now complete.

My wish for you is for you to be able to move from this place of stillness and love into the day ahead.

Dear Mother be blessed.

Hari Om Datsattvat.
