Foster the essence of loving-kindness within. When we embody the heart’s wisdom and our innate benevolent nature, we begin to see, honour, and appreciate ourselves through a more compassionate and nurturing lens. We cultivate a courageous and joyous heart, allowing life to move through us with a deeper sense of gratitude, and we relate to others in ways of authentic connection, compassion, and appreciation. You are guided to receive the vibration of kindness and offer benevolence to yourself.

Hello there and welcome.

In this meditation you'll be guided to connect with the heart space,

With your heart,

And with the energy of your heart,

The essence of loving kindness and compassion,

Care,

Generosity.

All these energies of love and kindness are embedded in every cell of your being.

Sometimes along the way we tend to disconnect from this part of us.

And so today you'll be guided to reacquaint with that essence of loving kindness within you.

So you might like to now give yourself a few moments to make yourself comfortable here,

Whether you were sitting or laying down,

Perhaps scanning through the body briefly,

And just being generous with yourself,

Perhaps making subtle adjustments here and there,

So that you feel 5-10% more comfortable.

And once you feel a little more settled in the space that you're in,

I invite you to close the eyes down,

If that is comfortable for you to do so.

Or perhaps just allow the gaze to be very soft.

Take your awareness now to the centre of your chest.

You might even place a hand there.

And just begin to notice the aliveness of you through the breath,

Through the beat of your heart.

And even if you can't sense the beat of the heart,

See if you can just take on that inward gaze to visualise the heart beating rhythmically in the chest as your body breathes and they take on their own internal dialogue.

And with your awareness still focused there on the centre of the chest,

Now feeling as though you could take a slower,

Deeper breath in towards the heart centre,

Like you were filling it up with space,

Fullness and vitality.

And then on the exhale,

Just let the breath go maybe even out of the mouth.

We'll do that one more time.

Inhale,

Feeling the lungs,

Expanding the heart space.

And exhale,

Gently letting the breath go.

And now I invite you,

Dear one,

To picture in your mind's eye that someone you care deeply for,

Someone you cherish,

Is now standing by your side.

Now this person may be somebody that who is here on earth,

It might even be somebody that has passed,

Yet you feel deeply connected to.

Keep breathing into your heart slowly as you start to feel their presence or see them beside you.

Now picturing or feeling like this person was gazing upon you with loving eyes and a generous heart,

Gazing upon you in love and appreciation for all that you are.

And as you notice them gazing upon you and as you feel their loving presence and warmth beside you,

In this moment I invite you to just soften into receiving that love and generosity and care from them.

Stay with your breath.

And now picturing that this person repeats these loving mantras,

Affirmations to you as a way of them offering the essence of loving kindness to you.

They say to you,

May you be well,

May you be happy,

May you be strong,

May you be peaceful,

May you give love and receive love today.

They say to you again,

May you be well,

May you be happy,

May you be peaceful and strong,

May you give love and receive love today.

And I invite you now to feel as though you could breathe these words,

Breathe this energy of love and kindness,

Appreciation into your body and into your heart as though your breath was becoming a nourishing,

Soothing balm and soaking in this essence,

Slowly,

Slowly into yourselves,

Into your heart.

Take a steady deep breath in when you're ready,

Back into the heart,

Maybe letting out a gentle sigh as you soften into the breath.

And with your focus there on the center of your heart space and your gentle inward attention into you,

Your physical body and all that you are,

I invite you now to repeat the mantras of loving kindness to yourself.

And as I guide you through it,

If you find that it's a little bit unusual to say these words to yourself,

Then that is okay.

I invite you to stay with the intention of connecting to your heart without any unnecessary pressure to be placed on yourself.

Just feeling as though you could gently open and dissolve into the words of loving kindness as you offer them to yourself.

Repeating to yourself within or if you are in a space to even say them out aloud so you hear the words,

That is an option too.

May I be well.

May I be happy.

May I receive love.

May I receive kindness.

May I be strong.

May I be peaceful.

May I be thankful for who I am.

May I give love today.

May I give appreciation today.

May I be well.

May I be loved.

May I receive my own love.

May I be happy.

May I feel joy.

May I receive kindness.

May I choose kindness for myself.

May I be strong.

May I be peaceful.

May I give love and receive love today.

Stay for a few moments just basking in the vibration of these words.

Breathe into them and dissolve into your breath.

May you always remember that the essence of you is love,

Genuine love.

And you are so worthy and deserve the love that you offer to others.

The same love you give to others,

You can offer that to yourself too.

And as you prepare to move back into your day or into your evening,

I invite you to take this quality,

This sweetness of love and compassion,

Generosity with you and the way that you breathe and the way that you think and the actions that you take for yourself and for others.

No action of kindness to yourself is ever too small,

Dear one.

I acknowledge you for opening up to this practice.

Take a slow deep breath in,

Filling the heart up with space and love,

Openness.

And exhale out slowly.

Begin to invite gentle,

Soothing,

Nourishing movement back into the body.

Gently blink the eyes open if they are closed.

Thank you for allowing me to guide you through that practice.

And I hope to support you in another practice soon.

Namaste.
