Hello,

Hello.

Some days we are in such a good,

Healthy,

Sympathetic space where we're focused,

We're energized,

Our ideas are flowing through our mind and we feel engaged,

Productive and ready to take on the world.

And yet we need to rest because we've had a full day and we need to wind down and allow our body to go into that parasympathetic state,

That rest state,

In order for us to carry on tomorrow and make more of those ideas a reality.

And so one body part that's often overlooked but is incredibly nourishing in helping our nervous system settle down from that energized state into that more calm state are our ears,

Particularly with a little ear massage.

So that's what we're going to do together today as a little treat you can do at the end of a busy day just to allow your nervous system to settle so that you can get a good night's sleep so you can tackle the world again tomorrow.

So getting comfortable,

Perhaps you're sitting on your bed or lying down,

That's absolutely fine.

Starting to just notice your breath,

It's always there,

Inhaling and exhaling,

Maybe lengthening your inhale and lengthening that exhale,

Just allowing your mind to quiet just a little bit as you connect in with your breath.

Then I want you to take your left hand to your left ear and just gently massage the earlobe between your fingers.

You might want to pull it a little bit,

Might just squish it,

Roll it around.

We're just starting with the earlobe and then move your fingers up and around the curvature of your ear,

Giving that a good massage from right behind up to the top and really massaging into the grooves at the top of the ear,

Giving them a nice rub.

And running down,

As I say,

Making sure you get the full back of the ear with your thumb,

Pressing as hard or as gently as you need and like,

And then place your finger just inside your ear,

Your index finger working in circular motions on the ridges and grooves inside your ear.

Beautiful.

And then just finish off however you like,

Maybe a big rub all over or pull at the earlobe and then just notice how your left ear feels in comparison to your right.

And then treat yourself to your right ear massage,

Again starting at the lobe and making sure you work up the back of the ear,

Up to the top,

Rubbing in all the grooves with your index finger,

Really treating your ear to a nice massage,

Maybe including your temple a little bit.

Whatever feels nice,

However rough or gentle you want to be today.

Beautiful.

And then just stop and notice how your right ear feels in this moment.

And now,

Once again,

Just connecting with your breath,

Taking a deep inhale and an exhale,

Noticing the warmth of your ears,

Noticing how they feel,

Noticing another inhale and exhale.

Beautiful.

I wish you a wonderful rest of your day,

However that looks.

Thank you for joining me and I hope to see you again soon.

Take care.
