Sitting with the back straight,

Making sure it's not leaning against anything.

The back of the neck pointing at the sky.

Eyes relaxed and almost closed.

Pacing down at a 45 degree angle.

The back of the neck pointing at the sky.

We sit together,

All drifting into each other's minds.

Drifting into the present moment can be a lot like a near death experience.

There's a falling in love with the present moment,

Which in a sense is what meditation is all about.

A sort of a preparation for the end of each moment.

Emerging of light and death.

The rise and fall of the self,

Like a breath.

Let's take a deep breath in through the nose.

And exhale it also through the nose.

And take the lungs.

Let's return to our natural breath.

The ears,

Just the nose and not the mouth.

Follow me into this visualization of the present moment as a near death experience.

Everything around freezes and there's a feel.

There's a memory of your picture freezing on a TV screen.

Sound is freezing on stereo speakers.

A vowel freezing on somebody's lips.

There's a vast field of flowers in the mind.

And knowing that this is really close to the end of the moment.

And knowing that this is really close to the end of the moment.

And knowing that this is really close to the end of the moment.

And knowing that this is really close to the end of the moment.

And knowing that this is really close to the end of the moment.

And knowing that this is really close to the end of the moment.

And knowing that this is really close to the end of the moment.

And knowing that this is really close to the end of the moment.

As we observe being really close to the end.

Let's count our out breaths.

Every time we exhale and let's immediately charge ourselves up with an in breath so we can count the out breath again.

One,

Two,

Three,

Four.

We can do this until we lose count and let it fade away.

Until we're left in silence.

Until we're left in silence.

Until we're left in silence.

Until we're left in silence.

Until we're left in silence.

Until we're left in silence.

Until we're left in silence.

Until we're left in silence.

Until we're left in silence.

Until we're left in silence.

Until we're left in silence.

Until we're left in silence.

Until we're left in silence.

Until we're left in silence.

Until we're left in silence.

Until we're left in silence.

Until we're left in silence.

Until we're left in silence.

Until we're left in silence.

This is really close to the end,

But the end never comes.

There is no sense in waiting for the end of each moment because you or I will never be able to see it.

But since we'll be gone with the moment,

We will not be there to see it.

There is a sense of a huge neon sign in the darkness above that says,

This is where it's at,

Flashing above us.

It has a big arrow pointing at the field and the flowers in the mind.

And an almost ring-tear-ed sky above the field.

There is a sense of a huge neon sign in the darkness above that says,

This is where it's at,

Flashing above us.

It has a big arrow pointing at the field and the flowers in the mind.

It has a big arrow pointing at the field and the flowers in the mind.

It has a big arrow pointing at the field and the flowers in the mind.

It has a big arrow pointing at the field and the flowers in the mind.

It has a big arrow pointing at the field and the flowers in the mind.

It has a big arrow pointing at the field and the flowers in the mind.

It has a big arrow pointing at the field and the flowers in the mind.

It has a big arrow pointing at the field and the flowers in the mind.

It has a big arrow pointing at the field and the flowers in the mind.

It has a big arrow pointing at the field and the flowers in the mind.

It has a big arrow pointing at the field and the flowers in the mind.

So what comes next?

The first thing we do is to make the flowers bloom.

The first thing we do is to make the flowers bloom.

The first thing we do is to make the flowers bloom.

The thought may arise that we might as well make up for what is happening next.

Being caught in this part of the present moment just before its end.

The thought may arise that we might as well make up for what is happening next.

Being caught in this part of the present moment just before its end.

Trying to make up for what happens in this field.

In the mind just before the end of each moment.

And all that comes up is connected to what has already happened.

And all that comes up is connected to what has already happened.

It feels like a brand new thing at first.

And then it dawns on us.

What is the effect of the past?

And just when that dawns on us is when each moment is over.

So in a sense for anything new to happen we must let go of this string of present moments.

And stop trying to live forever in the moments.

And just shift our attention to the music in the background.

Very cool... just what I needed at the moment. I used it very early and was hindered by sleepiness, worry, and doubt. I'm so happy I stuck with this helpful voice and appreciated the sounds long enough to realize that I needed to treasure a time of stillness. Simple but not basic, this is a very helpful Zen meditation.
