wonder what self-love has to do with relationships but the fact is that our
relationship with ourself sets the tone for all other relationships in our life.
When our hearts are full of love we can share it with others just like pouring
from a full cup.
Today's meditation is a path to strengthen that inner connection
allowing you to bring a richer and more genuine love to your relationships.
Let's begin with finding a quiet space.
Sit comfortably and let's embark on this journey together.
Close your eyes free from all distractions and take your attention to your breath.
If there are thoughts coming in your head just allow them to come and pass.
Let your shoulders soften and relax releasing any tension in your jaw and allow your breath to flow naturally.
Gentle inhale and a gentle exhale.
Imagine a warm golden light wrapping you like a warm blanket.
A gentle embrace of self-compassion.
Breathing in,
Breathing out comfortable and safe.
Now take a moment to check if you tend to criticize yourself.
We all do it don't we?
Think of past instances when you may have criticized yourself harshly.
Notice how you felt when you told yourself that you were not good enough
or that you were wrong.
Know that you don't have to be perfect and that you're doing the best that you can.
See yourself making peace with your imperfections and embracing the person that you are.
Your strengths as well as your limitations.
This is really important because when you accept yourself just as you are
you become open to accepting other people just as they are and that's a wonderful thing.
When we try to change or fix others it only creates pain and resistance.
Today tell yourself in your mind I'm doing the best that I can and so is everyone else.
Drop all judgment towards yourself and others.
Planting the seeds of love and acceptance.
Focus on your breath
and the warm light inside of you.
This represents the love that you have for yourself
and now visualize this self-love expanding and connecting with those around you
reaching every corner of your life.
When you stop judging yourself notice how this compassion effortlessly extends to those you cherish.
Watch the judgments melting away replaced by understanding and acceptance.
Repeat these affirmations gently after me aloud or in your mind.
I love myself therefore I treat myself with love and compassion.
I radiate this love outwards creating stronger and deeper connections.
I see the good in myself and others deepening understanding and acceptance.
I release all judgment and criticism towards self and others.
My heart is open and I speak with loving words.
I attract healthy relationships and I'm always treated well.
I love myself.
I approve of myself
and I'm always learning changing and growing.
All is well in my world.
Continue breathing deeply and gently
knowing that self-love is the answer to everything.
When you truly love who you are you stay centered calm and secure
and your relationships at home as well as at work are wonderful.
With that knowledge now gently open your eyes
feeling the immense love that you have within yourself to share with the world.
