How would your life change if you could find stillness throughout the day?
In today's imagining,
Let's open to pausing,
Breathing,
Just for a moment,
To take you out of the busyness and into the natural flow of life.
Where at the end of every day you felt calm and centered,
Still had something left in the tank,
And where stress naturally dissolves.
One way is to pause,
Focus on your breath,
Be centered and mindful.
It's an incredibly powerful habit.
Let's imagine it into being.
So close your eyes and bring your attention to your heart and belly,
And take three deep breaths to settle in.
Your body holds the wisdom.
It knows the ability to be still.
Yes,
Of course,
There's time where your body needs to move and be in action,
And yet it also needs to be balanced with rest,
Calmness and stillness.
But sometimes our mind misses the memo,
And it's that that races ahead.
And if we could listen to the power of our body to override the busyness of our mind,
By breathing deeply into our heart,
We bring ourselves back to that stillness.
So open more deeply into the spaciousness of your body right now.
There's nowhere to go,
Nothing to analyze.
Let go of any thoughts of what's happened or what you've got to do.
Just be here right now.
For when we're truly present,
And we give ourselves permission just to be for a moment,
There are no problems.
Feel in this moment that spaciousness,
That stillness.
Feel how that feels in your body just to relax,
To be patient.
And we ask that your ability opens up to do this more,
To give yourself the permission that you need,
That your body lets you know when to stop,
And that your body,
Where the wisdom is held,
Is more powerful than your mind could ever be,
However brilliant it is.
So listen within and know when to take a break.
Know when to adhere to the boundaries,
Not push beyond,
Not exert yourself,
Not override.
Allow yourself to say,
No,
I'm stopping right now,
I'm pausing.
I'm stopping to sharpen my own saw so that I can be a full vibration of vitality the next time it's ready to be in action.
Allow yourself to find this stillness,
Which means that you are turning on your remembrance of how to flow with life.
Some days the wind is completely still.
The clouds don't seem to move,
Not a single rustle of the tree leaves.
And other days it blows a gale and everything's in full force and you feel it.
Why do you make one more important than the other?
Nature knows the way.
So let the natural remembrance of your body do the same.
Bring yourself back into balance.
Nurture yourself.
Find that stillness,
Not just at weekends,
Not just on your holidays,
But every day.
We don't have to be full steam ahead because one day it will take its toll.
You are a human.
Focus on the being aspect as well as the doing aspect.
For this is what will fire you up and give you all the directive confidence,
Inspiration,
Energy,
Vitality to move ahead when the time's right,
Is when you allow that stillness in your heart in the first place.
Opening up your ability to remember this wisdom.
For this is not new to you.
You know this and it's only your mind that tries to override it.
So know that all you have to do is come into your body and remember.
And find the calm stillness of your heart and your body,
Even for just a moment throughout your day.
Take a breath into that stillness.
And when you're ready,
Open your eyes.
So promise yourself that the next time stress starts rising in your body and mind,
You will restrain from reaction.
Take a deep breath,
Dissolve it out of your body and find the stillness.
You have the power to change your thoughts and behaviours by just taking this moment.
And you'll feel that calmness within you.
Know it's okay to say no and stop being a people pleaser.
It does require patience and commitment to break habits.
Yet can you imagine a daily life where you radically reduced your stress levels simply by holding back for a moment and respecting boundaries?
Where you moved out of that shallow breathing and tightness in your chest,
Those palpitations in your heart,
The anxiety in your belly.
And instead come back to the natural deep rhythm within you.
You've got that ability to reduce your stress,
Lower your cortisol and make a different choice than default behaviour.
Simply become aware of it and do differently.
And it's always up to you to make that bit of effort until it comes naturally.
So whilst we're in this willing state of change,
Let's start reprogramming our minds to work in union with our true nature.
Close your eyes again and another breath,
Relaxing your shoulders and your belly.
Now imagine feeling level-headed and rested at the end of every day rather than overwhelmed and exhausted.
Imagine if you didn't race on to the next thing all the time and created space in your mind and in your day.
Imagine if you just trusted the flow of life rather than being fearful of being a failure or not completing something or what someone might say.
Imagine if you felt as still as a mountain on the inside because there was no more drama,
Rush or urgency.
Imagine if you found patience and a relaxed flow.
How would that affect your life and those around you?
Allow these imaginings to percolate and permeate through your heart,
Body and soul.
Knowing they're reprogramming you at a deep level to make positive change in your life.
Take another deep breath and come back.
Now that we've switched on your remembrance to the importance of stillness,
You might like to delve deeper into what holds you back from experiencing this all the time.
