Creating a sacred circle is a modality. We create a sacred circle that becomes a temple in which we learn. So people go to temples, sacred landscapes, or sacred spots, and churches because there are frequencies set up there that help them connect with themselves. In Sarah's practice, the modality is a sacred circle. We form a living temple so that you don't have to go anywhere, except be right where you are. You are the sacred temple. Your body, your being, is a sacred site.

Creating the sacred circle is our modality.

We create a sacred circle that becomes the temple in which we learn.

So people go to temples,

They go to sacred landscapes or sacred spots,

They go to churches because there's frequencies set up there that help them connect with themselves.

In the Spirit Hill Institute,

Our main modality is the sacred circle and we form a living temple so that you don't have to go anywhere except be right where you are and we set up this very living expansive and grounded temple of energy that in itself informs you of your self in a new way,

A different way.

So you don't have to go anywhere.

You don't have to be somewhere special because you are the sacred temple.

Your body,

Your being is a sacred site.

And when we gather,

Each one of us returning to that knowing that we are each a sacred site,

The power that infuses the group allows each person to grow along their own frequency.

So each person in this group is going to have a unique understanding,

A unique revelation and revealing to yourself step by step along your own stem like a flower,

Along your own axis of consciousness.

So we're not looking for everyone to have the same realization,

But what we are looking for is to have each person have an experience of being freed from the illusion.

That's the common ground,

But it's going to take shape,

Words,

Understandings,

Visions that are unique to each person.

So you don't have to have the same experience as someone else,

But it will be an unfolding and self-revealing process.

Okay.

So bring your awareness back to your body and feel your seat and feet.

Make sure you can feel your seat and feet on the ground and on the chair.

And so we're drawing our energy and our attention actually back to the physical body.

And take a few deep breaths.

Allow your shoulders to drop,

Your arms to relax,

Your belly to soften,

Your calf muscles to relax and soften,

And find an enjoyable way to be in your body.

Imagine that actually enjoying being aware of,

Connected to your body,

Feeling the joy of that,

Not worrying about what anyone thinks of your appearance,

But feeling the joy from within of a body that is percolating with energy,

Heat,

Aliveness,

Vitality.

As long as you're alive,

That vitality is constantly percolating and regenerating itself within you.

So it's a joyous sense.

Even if you have aches and pains,

Even if you have all kinds of troubles,

There's a basic level at which you and your body can enjoy yourselves.

We want to focus on the breath in a joyous way.

Hey,

We're breathing.

That's great.

Okay.

And you might start to feel some energy flowing through your arms and hands.

And we want to feel the body weighted downward.

And that's how a body at rest relaxed feels.

Feels like it's sinking and spreading.

And we're releasing the tension so the body is softening and becoming less restricted.

Now,

Some days we do this better than others.

That's okay.

But we want to feel a little bit of release,

A little bit of relaxation.

And again,

We're coming to terms with being in the body in a joyful,

Happy way.

That means we're not criticizing ourselves.

And this might be a new experience for some of you.

And maybe the way to begin there is just being appreciative and grateful that you're breathing and alive.

Now the illusion,

The voice of the illusion would be that self critical part that is trying to make you into something that you're not.

Trying to make you into the image of the idol.

That's a different interpretation,

Let's say of the Old Testament of worshiping idols.

Maybe it's about consciousness and not about breaking cement statues.

Maybe it's about releasing the adoration of something that you believe is ideal,

Which you're using all your energy and resources to achieve.

Which is making you sick and stressed and crazy.

So let's detach from that idol.

And come back to a simple relationship.

I'm breathing.

I'm alight.

I'm alive.

All kinds of activity is happening in my body.

That my subconscious is part of,

But my conscious isn't aware of.

And this is where the illusion might say,

Oh,

But,

You know,

Your subconscious made you sick.

Or your subconscious made you hurt.

It's part of the illusion.

The trick here is to focus on the simple relationship.

And that it's okay to enjoy being in your body.

And to sense your connection to your tissues.

It's a general intuitive sense.

And again,

There's no,

Oh,

I made myself sick or I must have done something wrong.

This is behind all of that.

There's a basic relationship that you have.

Now the illusion would keep trying to get you to think negatively of yourself.

But we're moving beyond that and staying in the simple relationship of body consciousness and seeing if we can get a few minutes,

A few moments of actually enjoying.

So this is our first lesson about the illusion.

Those tentacles in that grip that tries to take us in a direction of everything that's wrong with us.

Everything that we did wrong.

The reason it's an illusion is that we think we have control over all this.

And we don't.

And you'll see later on why we don't.

We have resonance,

We have alignment,

We have unknowing.

But we also have a frequency that we are aligned with each lifetime.

That takes us along a path.

It's not that we created anything bad in our life.

We just worked with the alignment and the frequency and we're taking each step one by one and learning to release and let go.

Turn to our true self and come back to that simple joy of being with your body and the enjoyment of vitality and energy.

And then a voice might come in that says,

But I want to understand how I got this way,

How my life was created this way.

That's part of the illusion.

We're going to let that go because we want to know from a deeper place.

We want to understand.

We want to be from a deeper place.

Now let's feel our feet on the ground and the energy connecting with Mother Earth.

And when we connect with the energy through the soles of our feet,

Through our consciousness with the consciousness of Mother Earth,

We begin resonating with a great wisdom.

So,

Mother Earth is like a tuning fork for us.

When we can feel that energy on the soles of our feet connecting with the gravity of the Earth,

Mother Earth's heart,

We're tuning to a great wisdom of the Great Mother.

So when we attune to something,

We're not thinking of it as outside of ourselves,

But we're experiencing it within ourselves.

That's the first shift of what we call taking our power back,

But it feels different.

It doesn't feel like those words that we use when we're in our polarized consciousness.

Taking our power back now feels like something that's very vibrant,

Alive,

And full of life.

It's not about power over,

Power under,

Around,

And manipulation.

It's about becoming the essence of wisdom,

The essence of life.

So,

Mother Earth is like a tuning fork for us.

And this is where the first separation from everyday consciousness starts to happen.

You actually relax,

You actually feel good,

Or have the potential for feeling good.

And you're disengaging from an external judge,

Critic.

That's part of the programmed illusion.

And learning to sit in this for extended periods of time is really helpful.

And I find that feeling the energy with the soles of my feet and allowing that energy to circulate in my being keeps my interest on the more subtle.

Now to help you appreciate this state even more,

This is a greater healing state than you would be in if you were in the agitated mental state that you would normally be in in everyday life.

And we forget that this is,

Excuse me,

Very healing for us to sit in.

We might appreciate it for the moment,

But we don't realize the effect that it has that ripples through our consciousness,

Our body,

Our whole being.

So,

That's a great Jazz Now the first place this energy is circulating is through the center,

Around the governing channel that circulates up the back of the spine,

Around the top of the head and down the front of the body and around the feet and back up again.

It's not the central axis but it's a central channel.

If you're quiet you might be able to feel the energy pulsing in that circular motion up the back and around the top of the head and down the front and around again.

Well don't create it,

Tune into it.

If you try to use the mind to tune into it,

It won't work.

So you have to relax again and then in almost like a peripheral way,

Sense the pulsing.

It's almost like a rhythm that you can feel.

It's singular.
