Welcome,
My name is Staré.
I'm so glad you're here.
Today,
We're practicing one of my favorite grounding techniques,
Box breathing.
It's a simple,
Powerful way to regulate your nervous system,
Slow down the mind,
And guide your body back into a calmer,
More present state.
I've used this breathwork technique with so many of my clients because the effects are immediate.
It helps ease anxiety,
Reduce tension,
And reconnect you to your center in just a few minutes.
I always like to start with a few cleansing breaths.
And then I'll guide you through the first three cycles with a steady count.
After that,
I'll drop the count and simply cue the breath so that you can settle into your own natural rhythm.
Let's take a moment to soften your shoulders,
Relax your jaw,
And find a comfortable position.
Let's begin.
Take a deep inhale through your nose.
Feel your chest and belly expand.
Exhale slowly through your mouth.
Letting everything soften Again,
Take a deep,
Open inhale.
And a slow,
Gentle exhale.
One more cleansing breath.
Inhale fully down to the core of your belly.
And exhale completely out through the mouth.
Now you can let your breath return to a soft steady rhythm.
We will begin the cycles of box breathing.
And on the count of 3,
We're going to start with our first cycle.
Inhaling through the nose for four counts,
Holding for four counts.
Exhaling out the mouth for four counts and then taking a pause for four counts.
Let's begin.
One,
Two,
Three,
Inhale.
2,
3,
4,
Hold.
Two,
Three,
Four.
Exhale.
2,
3,
4.
And pause 2 3 4 Inhale.
Two,
Three,
Four.
Home.
2,
3,
4.
Exhale 2… 3… 4… and pause 2.
.
.

.
.
4.
.
.
Inhale Two,
Three,
Four.
Home.
Two,
Three,
Four.
Exhale two three four and pause two,
Three,
Four.
Now that your body has settled into the shape of the breath,
I'll drop the count and simply guide you through the pattern of inhale,
Hold,
Exhale,
Pause.
Let's begin on the count of three.
And 123 inhale.
Home.
Exhale.
And pause.
Inhale.
Home.
Exhale.
In pause.
Inhale.
Home.
Exhale.
And palms.
Allow your breath to return to a normal steady rhythm.
Letting each breath bring you deeper into your body.
As our practice comes to a close,
I want to invite you to bring to mind one word,
Something you want to call into your life.
Maybe it's peace,
Clarity,
Ease,
Or compassion.
Choose whatever feels true for you in this moment.
And as you inhale,
Imagine that word filling your body as if you're breathing it into yourselves.
And as you exhale,
I invite you to imagine releasing anything that is no longer serving you.
It might be worry,
Tension,
Fear,
Self-doubt,
Or overwhelm.
So we're inhaling what we want to call in.
And exhaling what we're ready to let go of.
Allow this rhythm to wash through you.
And let's take a few more breaths here.
In 1,
2,
3,
Inhale.
Home.
Exhale.
And pause.
Inhale.
Home.
Exhale.
And pause.
Last cycle.
Inhale.
Home.
Exhale.
And home.
I invite you to gently return to your natural breath.
Feel the calm settling into your chest.
Your shoulders.
And your mind.
Know that you can come back to this practice anytime.
Whenever you need grounding.
Clarity,
Releasing,
Or a moment to recenter.
Thank you for sharing this space with me today.
Thank you for honoring yourself and taking a few moments to breathe.
