What you can do with this tapping is you can tap along physically if you want to or you can just imagine tapping if that feels better for you today,
Whatever works is just perfect.
So take a moment then to just relax and settle in.
We're going to just have a little reset from the busyness and noise of the day.
Make sure you feel nice and comfortable,
Nice and relaxed where you're sitting or lying down.
Just start taking some mindful breaths.
You might want to close down your eyes here.
Breathing gently and on those exhales just try and let go a little bit.
Let your shoulders relax.
I want you to take a moment to tune into the body and notice.
So softening in the belly,
Unclenching your jaw,
Letting all your muscles relax in your face and around your eyes,
Letting your hands just rest comfortably.
Now imagine for a moment a really light feather-like brush of joy,
Just kind of brushing on your heart really soft and gentle.
I'm just going to start to bring awareness of joy just for being right here right now.
You know this is a time for you,
This is a time to really lean into relaxation and appreciation.
It's a time to really let go of any stress and tension through some lovely slow and gentle tapping.
Okay so we're going to get started with the tapping.
You can have your eyes open or closed and like I said you can imagine tapping if you want to.
I'll be guiding you through the points so you can repeat out loud or you can just repeat softly in your mind,
It's up to you.
So tapping on the side of the hand,
Even though I feel like joy is out of reach and I've been so focused just getting through life,
Getting through each day,
I acknowledge how heavy that feels.
Even though I've been stuck in autopilot,
Rushing through life,
Forgetting what joy even feels like,
I accept how I feel and I'm open to something new.
Even though joy seems kind of distant,
Like it belongs to someone else,
Or another time in my life,
I deeply and completely love,
Honour and accept myself.
So first round of tapping,
So we're just going to acknowledge where you are right now.
So tapping on the eyebrow point,
I've been so busy and overwhelmed,
I've forgotten how to feel joy.
What even is joy anyway?
Side of the eye,
Life is felt like one long to-do list with no room to just be.
It's hard to find joy when life feels heavy or busy.
I've been running on empty lately,
I've been feeling stuck,
Distracted or disconnected.
Under the nose,
I miss feeling fully alive,
Present and connected to something deeper.
Chin point,
Sometimes I wonder if I can even remember what joy feels like.
Collarbone point,
It's like I have to make a choice,
I have to be joyful,
Light and free,
Or I have to live in the real world,
Serious,
Heavy,
Joyless.
It feels like it can only be one or the other.
Moving to under the arm,
Joy feels so far away,
Like I don't have time for it,
Or I'm not worthy of it.
Top of the head,
It's hard to slow down and reconnect with myself,
But I'm open to trying.
Eyebrow point,
What if joy is still here,
Just waiting for me to notice it?
Side of the eye,
Maybe it's not about chasing joy,
But about slowing down to receive it.
Could I try that?
Ask yourself,
Could I try that?
Just like you're doing right now,
Through this tapping,
Slowing down.
Under the eye,
I've had so many moments of laughter and peace and beauty in my life.
Small moments,
Big moments,
I know joy is possible.
Under the nose,
I don't have to earn joy.
Chin point,
Maybe joy can live in even the smallest moments.
I'm open to softening my pace and letting joy find me.
Under the arm,
Maybe I can open my awareness and let joy in.
To really notice joy.
To appreciate joy.
Top of the head,
I'm open to lightness,
Expansion and love.
For this next round,
I'd like you to just listen.
I'm going to guide you through the points,
You don't need to say anything out loud or in your mind here.
Just listening to my voice,
Tapping softly on the eyebrow point.
I'd like you to take a moment to really think about joy for a moment.
Perhaps thinking about the word joy,
How it looks when it's written on a page.
How it sounds.
Joy,
Joy,
Joy,
You know?
I think even saying or hearing the word feels kind of joyful.
What do you think?
Joy.
And then moving to the side of the eye.
You know,
We often as these busy humans,
We wait for joy until everything is kind of perfect before we can really give ourselves permission to be happy or to be joyful.
So we think,
Okay,
We just need to get through this day or become successful at this or we need to have healed from this.
Like,
It's almost like we feel we have to really earn it by being good or by being worthy of it.
But maybe joy is already here.
It's around you and it's in those really tiny and ordinary moments that we overlook every day.
Under the eye.
And sometimes that joy,
You know,
We expect it to kind of go ta-da,
Almost like a burst.
But sometimes it's more gentle.
It's more of a whisper.
Sometimes it's really small and it could go unnoticed or unappreciated.
Joy can be that kind smile from a stranger.
It can be that really warm,
Comforting sip of hot chocolate or coffee.
It could be catching the attention of a busy squirrel going about its day.
You know,
Those small moments of joy matter just as much as the bigger moments.
Moving to under the nose.
Reminding yourself that joy doesn't need you to be perfect or productive.
Or super vigilant about finding it.
You know,
It can really rise naturally and it's there all the time.
You know,
You don't have to be searching and looking hard to find it.
You just need to slow down and notice.
Moving to the chin point.
You know,
Joy gently invites your attention.
It invites your attention to the clouds moving and forming pictures and patterns in the sky.
Invites your attention to falling leaves in autumn.
All the different colours.
The way that light reflects through a window.
And even that sense of relief and quiet after we cry or get angry.
There could be space for joy there too.
So even when that joy does feel brief or imperfect or tangled up with all those other emotions,
It still matters even if it's fleeting.
Moving to the collarbone points.
Sometimes joy can appear when we release some of that heavy stuff to really make space for it.
When we start to let go of attachments,
Those heavy emotions,
Of the burdens,
Of the baggage that we carry.
Or just the weight of life.
Maybe we can try letting some of that go.
So tapping under the arm.
Let's make a little bit of space here through the breath.
So take a nice big inhale for me.
Inhaling deeply,
Drawing down the breath all the way to the tummy.
And then on that exhale,
Just sigh it out and let go a little.
Just let go a little bit.
And through those breaths you can take some more.
Just making a bit of space for lightness.
A little bit of room for some joy.
Letting go on those exhales.
Cleansing on those inhales.
Top of the head.
Feel joy.
So say it in your mind now.
I'm allowed to feel joy.
I am worthy of joy.
And you're worthy of it even when life is hard or heavy.
You know joy can coexist with pain,
Uncertainty or healing.
So just take a moment to open your mind,
Body and soul to joy.
However it shows up and know that it's okay and it's safe to experience it and feel it.
So what we're going to do now is just move to a final round of tapping.
You can open your eyes if you want to.
If not you can keep them closed.
We're going to really try and integrate that joy now.
So tapping on the eyebrow points.
I give myself full permission to release anything blocking joy.
So tap it away,
Breathe it away.
Anything that's blocking joy.
Letting it go.
Side of the eye.
I'm choosing to believe that joy is available to me today and every day.
Under the eye.
I'm ready to slow down and create energetic space for joy.
Just like you're doing right now.
Under the nose.
I put an intention out to the universe that I'm willing,
Ready and open for joy.
Chin points.
I reconnect to the parts of me that know play and laughter and joy.
Joy is not a reward,
It belongs to everyone.
Joy belongs to me too.
Under the arm.
I give myself permission to enjoy life more and notice every joyful moment.
Top of the head.
I welcome joy into my body,
My breath and my being.
Let's repeat that one quietly.
You can just repeat it.
Bring it into your heart.
I welcome joy into my body,
My breath and my being.
Okay,
So you can stop tapping there and what we're going to do now is just find a joyful moment that you can carry in your heart going forward.
So you can close your eyes for this part.
Make sure you're nice and relaxed.
Take a moment to tune in and notice or find one recent moment that brought you a flicker of joy.
So thinking back over the last week or so,
Maybe something that happened yesterday or last week or longer ago.
Thinking about a moment that brought you joy.
One of those small,
Perhaps everyday moments.
Maybe it was sitting down at the end of a busy day,
Putting your feet up.
Maybe it was that shared smile with a stranger or a friend.
Maybe a burst of gratitude for someone or something in your life.
A small,
Fleeting moment of joy.
Even those really brief moments do count.
So bring that moment to mind now and let's really dial it up a bit.
So what we're going to do is make the colours really vibrant.
Make those sounds really crisp and clear.
Bring awareness to any other senses in that moment of joy.
Any smell or touch or the awareness of your own body in that space.
I really want you to kind of feel again how it felt.
Live it again.
Be in that joyful moment.
And now you can take a short video or picture of it in your mind's eye with a little click and bring that into your heart.
Invite it into your heart.
Bring the energy of that joy into your heart.
And notice how that joy sits in your heart.
It's there.
It's accessible.
It's there for you today and every day.
We just need to remember to take those imaginary pictures or videos so we can really appreciate it.
You really do deserve joy.
So I'm just going to let you really enjoy that moment for a little while longer.
So you can keep replaying it,
Feeling it,
Living it again.
Okay then and when you're ready we're going to slowly bring ourselves back to the present moment.
So slightly move your fingers and toes.
Give them a little wiggle.
Becoming more aware of the breath now.
Slowly moving or rocking the body.
And then just opening your eyes when you're ready.
Have a little stretch if you want to.
So thank you so much for tapping with me today.
I really do feel a joyful appreciation for you being here with me.
