"Intimacy with life" is one of the ways you can define the spiritual path. It is a moment-to-moment engagement with the present moment. To be present is not only a matter of attention it also has to do with sensibility, vulnerability, and openness. In this meditation, we seek to embody this quality in our practice.

So notice that as you breathe in and breathe out,

The cool air comes in through the nostrils and the warm air goes out.

As you breathe out,

The coolness of the breath freshens you up like this fresh flow of life-force-filled breath.

And as you exhale,

Your warmth is offered to the world.

We're in a constant relationship with the world,

With God.

Sustained and sustaining.

Giving and receiving.

And sustaining.

It's the natural flow of life,

An ebb and flow.

It's a spontaneous process happening within you right now.

You're in a constant exchange with the world around you.

You're a part of a greater whole.

Just feel that.

That you are a part of a greater whole.

Acknowledge your connectedness.

That you belong where you are.

You belong where you are.

You have something important to give and something important to receive.

And as you soften in the posture,

In the meditation posture,

Just be receptive to the world around you.

With your five senses.

Soften so that you can receive the embrace of life.

The temperature in your skin.

The sounds.

The sound waves that arrive in your ears.

The light photons of the sun arriving in your skin.

The aromas of the plants and woods around you.

Intimacy with life.

Meditation is intimacy with life.

Intimacy with life.

Meditation is intimacy with life.

You are now awake in every cell of your body to feel the embrace of life.

And at the same time you want to soften into that embrace.

Like when you hug a dear friend,

You soften and you feel.

Can you soften and feel?

And in the spiritual path we speak of grace.

Grace is the divine power of God.

And when we meditate we receive this power.

Simply by becoming open to the present moment.

By releasing our doing and allowing ourselves to feel more fully.

Surrendering to the present moment.

Softening.

Fully allowing the experience that you're having.

Imagine that your body is like a membrane that vibrates with all the vibrations around you.

Everything touches you.

Everything creates ripples in you.

And you create ripples in everything.

And beneath all this movement,

All these ripples,

There is you,

Awareness,

Presence,

Life.

Can you feel with an open heart?

You are in the presence of grace.

You are in the presence of grace.

You are in the presence of grace.

You are in the presence of grace.

You are in the presence of grace.
