The conscious productivity cycle is a tool at the core of the conscious productivity system.

It can be used in different ways to help you to do what truly matters to you.

Everyone has a productivity cycle,

Whether we are aware of it or not.

It is the pattern that creeps playing out every time you set out to do something that matters to you.

Chances are,

This pattern resembles a broken cycle,

Because you don't get to actually start and finish creating the ideas and projects that are important for you.

A broken cycle often manifests in four major ways.

Maybe you have plenty of ideas,

But you're never acting on them,

Not even exploring them a little deeper.

You procrastinate or have several excuses why not to do what you long to do.

Or you create plenty of projects and from the outside it looks like you're very productive,

But you never do the things that are truly important to you and you don't feel fulfilled.

Or you start projects,

But never get to finish them due to exhaustion,

Overwhelm or lack of focus.

You just feel like you're way too tired to create any of your ideas.

Or you have no idea what you want to create,

You just know that you could do something more meaningful with your time.

There's a nagging feeling in your gut,

But you don't really know what to do with it.

You feel like you lack inspiration to start anything.

Luckily,

All of these problems are just symptoms of a broken productivity cycle and there are plenty of practices you can do to create forward motion again.

Here's where the conscious productivity cycle comes in.

It has four phases,

All four with their own skill sets that are necessary if you want to be able to do what truly matters to you and to do it on the long run.

Now let's look at the four phases of the conscious productivity cycle and the practices that help cultivate the necessary skills of true productivity.

The first phase is true awareness.

In this phase,

You can practice to step back and observe what's going on within you and around you at this very moment.

In this phase,

You also learn to create homeostasis in your system,

So you have a strong,

Open and creative baseline to build upon.

First phase practices are focused on present moment observation like mindfulness meditation,

Watching the breath or a candle,

Body scans or other somatic meditations.

There are also practices that establish that strong baseline by calming an overactive system or invigorating a dull system.

These include coherent breathing,

Certain types of pranayama and tapping.

Whenever you feel like you cannot just observe,

Start with these practices.

The second phase is true nature.

In this phase,

You learn to connect to who you truly are at the core.

This connection has layers from connection to other human beings,

Connection to nature,

Your body and ultimately to the source of all that exists,

Whichever name you like to call it.

And from that connection,

Having a sense of what you want to embody in this lifetime.

Second phase practices are therefore practices that foster these types of connections and self-exploration like journaling,

Channeling,

Prayer,

Spiritual dance,

But also visualizations,

Higher self meditations,

Insight meditations and shamanic journeying.

These practices always reveal a piece of the puzzle of who you are at the core.

The third phase is true action.

This is the phase where being inspires action and thus the phase that is the most tangible.

In this phase,

You practice the skills of conscious efficiency,

Also known as effortless effort.

Your action is guided by your awareness and connection to your core,

And you learn to take the path of least inner friction,

Which means a very effective use of your energies without wasting it on unnecessary suffering.

Practices in the third phase are all focused on easeful action,

Letting go of tension you don't need and using only what's necessary to complete a task.

You can practice this during any type of slow mindful movement like Tai Chi,

Qigong,

Yoga,

Or even during the day whenever you remember to check in and let go of tension in your body and mind.

The goal is to find ease in movement and not to add unnecessary tension.

The fourth and final phase is true surrender.

It is the phase of integration and rejuvenation.

During this phase,

You can practice the skills of letting go,

Cultivating trust,

And going beyond thought,

Sensations,

And emotions.

Whenever you actively rest,

Integration is triggered.

It is a conscious choice to transcend what is in front of you so you can see it from a higher perspective and with that perspective to know more for the next cycle.

Fourth phase practices are all focused on conscious relaxation and transcendence.

Practices include mantra meditation,

Shavasana,

Certain types of body scans,

And chanting.

When you take time to actively rest,

You'll integrate the lessons learned and you also create an emptiness in the process.

This emptiness is not a stop but the prelude for the next cycle.

You get connected to the fertile emptiness that precedes all creation.

You open yourself up for the next endeavor to arise.

And this is when the next cycle can begin with the next idea,

The next desire that invites you to step deeper into expressing your true self.

Here's to your conscious productivity.

Have a great day.
