Namaskar and welcome to this guided journey.
Today we will be discovering the mantra,
I AM,
Also known as SO HUM.
I AM is neither the mind nor the body,
But rather the shift of identity from our superficial layer,
The wavering person,
To our deepest layer,
Which is the ever present witness.
For this meditation,
The mantra I AM or SO HUM serves as an anchor for the mind.
When it naturally begins to wander,
We can always choose to return to this space of equanimity by using the mantra I AM.
So for this moment,
Just allowing yourself to fully arrive,
You can be seated or lying in Shavasana,
Coming into a state of complete relaxation.
Releasing any obvious tension from the body.
We allow this natural breath to flow in and out,
Creating this expansion and contraction of the belly,
Of the ribs,
Of the throat.
Drawing your shoulders away from your ears,
Allowing your palms to turn upward.
Just cultivating the state of complete relaxation.
Observing how we breathe.
Is the breath short and rapid,
Constricted?
Or is your breath expansive and full?
I AM or SO HUM.
Keeping this mantra,
I AM as the focus of your awareness as you continue to return to this mantra.
I as we inhale.
I AM as we exhale.
Letting go of any desires or fears.
So we can fully experience this moment just as it is.
I AM.
I AM.
As this awareness or peer witnessing contains every experience.
Observing what naturally arises.
Observing what naturally subsides.
Without needing to control or judge your experience,
Just simply being a witness to what is.
So,
I AM.
SO HUM or I AM is our very nature.
We need not to do anything or strive for perfection as we revel in this perfection as it is in this very moment.
Your true self or the I AM extends beyond this time and space reality.
As to understand the mind and the body,
We must go beyond.
I AM.
I AM everything and nothing at all.
Just allowing yourself to be this ever present witness.
Observing what naturally arises.
Just as quick as it naturally decimates.
This awareness contains every experience.
Can we hold the space to just observe what is here?
What is here and now?
As we return to the mantra,
I AM or SO HUM.
The door that locks you in is also that door that lets you out.
I AM serves as that door or portal of consciousness.
So can you allow yourself just to arrive at I AM?
As we return to the natural breath flowing in and out.
I AM.
I AM.
I AM.
When we find the mind starting to wander,
We can always choose to bring our awareness back to the mantra.
I AM.
I AM is the root of all experiences.
That awareness in which everything arises and falls.
So what is there when we go beyond?
Reins and And as we take these last few breaths together.
Inhaling I.
Exhaling M.
Inhaling I.
Last one.
I.
Hold the breath at the top of your inhalation.
And as you exhale M.
And as you exhale M.
Releasing and letting go.
I am or so hum.
Carries us beyond our limited experience.
Beyond our limited mind.
And beyond our limited body.
Allow this mantra I am or so hum.
To carry you throughout your day.
Thank you.
Namaskar.
