Hello,
My name is Samantha Archibald of Sai Yoga.
And in this moment,
There is no good or bad.
And in this moment,
We're going to take a little time to come into a comfortable seat,
Close our eyes,
And begin to focus a little bit on our breath.
Listen the inhales and the exhales,
Allowing ourselves to deepen into the inhale.
And as we exhale,
We let go of ideas,
Thoughts.
And the more we start to pay attention to the breath,
We start to distinguish the sounds and smells that are around us in this present moment.
And yes,
Sometimes we notice that the thoughts wander off into one other direction,
Other than this present moment,
But that realization allows you to come back into this space.
It allows you to come back to this present moment.
And it provides you the opportunity to disregard the mind's chatter and to become more conscious of everything that is within the space you're in,
That is within this moment.
And you become the observer instead of the reactor.
So allow your breath to soothe the body,
To soothe the mind.
In our day to day,
We spend a lot of time frustrated,
Angry,
Stressed about thoughts that happen that didn't really serve us.
Other times,
We dread the future or predict the worse,
Not seemingly able to let our minds be calm and steady and grounded in this moment.
Instead,
We wander off,
Run off,
In fact,
Into negativity,
Fear,
And frustration.
But if we eliminate the perception of good and bad,
If we let go of our fears,
Well,
At the same time,
Not even holding tightly to our ideas of what happiness should be,
We begin to unfold clarity,
Peace,
Stillness,
Calm.
And we utterly embrace them now.
And whatever that needs to get done at that moment will just happen.
We flow through life with grace,
With certainty,
With joy.
Ultimately,
We're flowing in this moment without attachments to emotions or judgments.
And you might ask,
Well,
If we're not attached to our emotions,
And there is no good or bad,
We let go of our ideas of happiness,
What is left?
What is left is a space where we are always aware and always active in that present moment.
So there isn't a judgment.
There isn't anything that needs to happen but us to be aware,
Consciously aware of what's right in front of us.
And in that,
We create that stillness,
That balance,
Where there,
Again,
Is no good or bad.
We don't have to hold on to any ideas of what happiness should be,
And it's okay to let go of those fears,
Because now we are living our lives for what it is in that moment.
Now despite this,
It doesn't mean we are not planning our lives out.
It doesn't mean that we are not looking at the past to gain knowledge on how to move through the present moment.
We want to plan.
We want to accumulate knowledge,
Gain that foresight.
But we want to do that without attaching to negative emotions.
We want to do that with the sense that life is not either good or bad,
That life is not about painful or joyful moments.
We want to do that with the sense that if we allow ourselves to be,
The moment will guide us into the life we need to be,
The grace,
The joy.
So whatever comes our way,
Again,
So whatever comes our way,
We handle it as it comes,
With no attachment to good or bad,
Joyful or painful.
We handle it as it comes in that present moment.
In doing that,
In doing that,
We see life for what it is and we experience it at that moment and that process,
We gain the wisdom,
The knowledge,
We gain the experiences,
We live the life that's full.
And we do it without the extra weight from the past or the resistance from our fears.
And we don't allow our thoughts of the future to paralyze us.
We move forward and we take life as it is.
So allow yourself a few more gentle breaths here.
Breathing in and breathing out in this moment.
Allow yourself a few more gentle breaths here as you prepare to move forward with your day.
Focus on this moment and everything within it.
Not allowing yourself to judge this moment,
Not looking for the good or the bad,
Not expecting to be happy or sad.
Just observe.
Go deep from within.
Be conscious and as you look outwards,
Look outwards at this moment.
I wish you a blessed,
Beautiful day.
Thank you for listening and Namaste.
