Namaste and welcome to a grounding and golden sun meditation.
Let's begin by centering and grounding ourselves,
Sitting in an easy position with the spine tall and free.
If you happen to be leaning against a cushion or a wall,
I advise you to keep your head free to promote this sense of relaxed wakefulness and alertness in the spine.
We'll begin this meditation by tapping on the thymus to bring awareness into our body.
So tapping all of the fingers directly in the thymus located at the sternum right above the heart center,
You can begin this practice now.
This is a gentle tapping sensation using the weight of the fingertips to stimulate and open the thymus.
This tapping boosts the immune system,
Lowers stress and energizes the whole body.
If you feel stressed or overwhelmed in your day,
You can practice this for a minute at a time.
And notice that perhaps it very easily brings you out of the mind and into the body,
Moving out of the mind and into the heart space.
Moving from the mind to the heart may be one of the shortest physical biological journeys we can make,
But it can take a lifetime to move from the fluctuations of the mind,
From the thinking and doing to moving into the heart space and living from a centered heart space living.
Now release the tapping and bring the back of the hands to the upper thighs into an easy sitting position.
If you'd like to take a mudra,
I invite you to bring the thumb and the pointer finger together and then allow the other three fingers to extend out.
This is yana or yana mudra,
The sense of embodied cognition,
How in placing the body in a certain way,
We can promote a certain type of thinking.
This mudra with the thumb and the pointer finger together promotes a sense of eternal wisdom.
Let's now ground our energy into the earth.
Once again,
Checking in with our posture,
Sitting tall and free,
Relaxing everything around your midline,
The shoulders,
The neck,
The back.
Take a deep breath,
Inhale,
Fill up,
Inhale and exhale,
Let it go.
Bringing your awareness now to the tailbone,
Envision a big grounding cord from your tailbone that extends deep into the center of the earth.
This cord can look like anything you imagine extending from your tailbone.
What color is it?
Is it gold?
Bright?
Is it green like the earth?
Is it blue like water?
You can imagine a large tree trunk going down deep into the earth center with the roots wrapping around the core of the earth.
Notice what it feels like to be completely grounded and centered to the center of the earth,
Our planet.
Can you cultivate this quality of visualization as you imagine this energetic connection between you and the center of Pachamama?
Tuning now into the breath,
Feeling the rise and fall of the belly as you inhale and exhale.
Through your grounding cord,
Begin to release all the energy you've been holding on to,
Feel stress,
Thoughts,
Worry.
Feel all this resistance and tension move down through the grounding cord.
Perhaps you'd like to imagine this as a dark water that moves down through the grounding cord,
Moving easily and effortlessly.
Simply let go of the past and let go of the future and arrive.
Let this go down through your grounding cord into the earth center.
Notice what you feel as you consciously empty the body and empty the mind.
Can you turn the volume down on your thoughts?
Fully releasing all tension,
Be aware of your inner sensation as you release all stress and tension.
What sensations are you feeling in the body?
A buzzing,
Electricity,
A tingly feeling.
Sensation can be many things.
It can be temperature,
Hot or cold.
It can be weight,
Heavy or light.
Sensation has many names and the body has a vast language in which it speaks to us.
Continue to cultivate this connection with the earth through your grounding cord.
This grounding is an ancient tool.
Our ancestors and our ancestors before them have known this healing power of the earth,
Have known this healing power of being in touch with this connection.
When you are grounded,
She makes it easier to connect to the present moment.
Now I'd like for you to imagine a golden sun above your crown chakra,
Above your sahas rar chakra.
This golden sun represents all of your own energy and assets,
Your joy,
Your happiness,
Your peace,
Your bliss,
Your ananda.
Gather up your own energy into a golden sun above your crown.
Energize your golden sun.
Call back your energy from the past,
The future,
Any places you may have scattered and dissipated your energy.
When we experience trauma,
Our energy dissipates.
We may have given our energy away to other people.
Gather it up now above your head and bring it into the present time,
Into this golden sun.
And either energetically or physically,
I invite you now to allow your hands to float up towards your shoulders into a V shape.
See if you can feel your golden sun relax and become receptive.
See if you can energetically or physically hold this sun above your head.
Gather your golden sun and bring it in through the top of your head.
Allow it to come into your central line,
Your central channel of the spine,
Filling you up from the inside out,
Slowly moving the sun into your body.
Notice what it feels like to fill yourself up with your own energy.
Let this energy come all the way in and imagine it grounding down back to the center of the earth.
Discover a neutral place within yourself where you can feel completely centered and balanced.
Take a few moments to just be there.
Can we be here?
Can we notice the quality of our presence when we shift our energy from thinking and doing to being in this state of receiving energy?
We're finding our awareness more and more to tune in to all that is around us beyond our five senses.
Can we study consciousness in this way?
Can we study what it is to be alive in this way?
Can we tune into our innate ability to feel,
To be intuitive?
Seeing the golden sun and releasing the cord,
Allow yourself to feel heavy.
Allow yourself to take up space.
Allow yourself to become an ally to silence,
An ally to stillness.
Slowly begin to invite movement into the body,
Maybe wiggling the fingers and the toes,
Perhaps slowly beginning to roll out the neck and stay in this place of presence and stillness for as long as you'd like.
