Hello beautiful people,
I invite you to start to find a comfortable seat,
Finding a long spine,
And just allowing yourself to begin to soften,
And you roll the shoulders down and away from your ears,
And allow your face to be soft.
Can you slow down your breath here,
Breathing in through your nose,
And out through your nose,
And as you slow down the breath further and further still,
Can you lengthen your exhales to be a little longer than your inhales,
Finding a full belly breath in,
And a longer,
Softer breath out.
Smooth breath in,
Slower breath out,
Full in-breath,
Long out-breath,
And we start to land.
I invite you to start to imagine you're sitting in a forest,
On the forest floor,
Maybe on a bed of fallen leaves.
You start to hear the birds up overhead,
And forest animals rustling in those leaves in the very top of the trees.
There's a soft breeze gently caressing your hair.
You start to sink deeper,
Notice the deep beating of your heart in your chest,
And then beyond that you realize there's another deeper,
Rhythmic beat in the distance,
Just like the beating of a perfectly formed buffalo drum.
You slowly start to stand as you're pulled towards this sound,
Placing one foot in front of the other.
You slowly trundle towards this sound.
The sound starts to get louder,
And you realize it's not just one instrument,
Audible delight of drums,
Chimes,
And what sounds like a gong.
It's like you're searching for something,
A kind of healing,
Maybe from a past trauma,
Or the feeling of love and acceptance.
This sound seems to be your answer,
And there are trees all around you,
And the light is dim.
You can see a clearing in the distance.
You push away branch after soft branch as the forest becomes denser,
But never scraping or hurting.
And then you stop.
You can hear a beautiful,
Soft chant.
You pause.
You listen carefully.
You pause again.
You know you've heard this chant before.
Hurry on,
The remover of all obstacles.
Intrigued,
You arrive at the final clearing,
And there before you is a shaman of sorts.
He beckons to you to sit by his side,
A sweet,
Beautiful smile on his face.
He's a little thing,
An older,
Beautiful man,
Full of grace and clarity.
He speaks in a native tongue,
And even though you don't understand,
There's like a universal knowing.
He's there to heal.
The sound is there to heal.
You sit down on the softest piece of earth you can find,
And you close your eyes,
Feeling as safe as ever in this beautiful man's presence.
You feel the touch of a hand on your forehead,
Your third eye centre,
But something tells you it isn't the hand of this man.
You welcome the soft touch and continue to breathe deeply,
Feeling held and loved in this place that you never want to leave.
You continue to breathe,
Deep,
Soft breathing,
And you realise that this comfort,
This stillness,
This sense of healing and peace already resides inside of you.
All of a sudden there seems to be stillness in everything.
No worries.
No anxiety.
No negativity at all.
In this place,
In your heart space,
All there is,
Is calm and stillness.
You continue to breathe deeply,
And slowly a sound in the distance,
Like a beautiful triangle,
Sends your whole body into a realm of energetic,
Soft vibrations.
Enjoy this.
You slowly start to open your eyes,
Coming to the realisation that the shaman is you.
You are your own healer.
You allow yourself to come back into your body,
To connect back to your breath,
And can do so at any time you need,
Knowing that what you put out into the world will come straight back in.
Take that moment to breathe in this goodness,
Releasing on your out-breath,
Full inhale,
Long exhale,
Knowing that you've just nourished your body,
Your mind,
And your soul.
Namaste.
