Welcome and thank you for being here.
But most of all,
Thank you for being here for yourself.
For honoring yourself,
For taking the time to feel stillness and let go of all the pressures,
Conflicts and heavy situations of the week.
Life can be difficult when we are living in a world of light and darkness.
Up and down we can want to stay in a place of peace,
Gratitude and serenity.
But that's not always the case when we live in this world of polarity.
So let's use today's practice to take a step back and allow that heaviness that we've been carrying through the day,
Through the week to dissipate.
So if you're not already,
Let's just get into a comfortable space.
You can be sitting up or lying down.
Whatever is comfortable for you.
And let's just become aware of our breath,
The way it moves our body through the nose and out the mouth.
Just allowing the breath to move at whatever pace it is going.
Just becoming aware of the way it feels as we breathe it in.
Is it cool,
Warm,
Dry?
How does it feel when it moves down our throat and into our belly?
And just allowing each breath now to get deeper and deeper.
Deeper and deeper.
Allowing our body to soften with each breath we take.
Allowing the body to soften.
Starting at the tip of our head.
Feeling our breath have a wave of relaxation down our forehead.
Relaxing the eyebrows.
Allowing the eyes to sink to the back of your head.
The cheekbones soften.
That jaw can just unhinge.
With our breath it softens our neck and shoulders.
Deeper and deeper.
Our breath allowing our arms down to the tips of our fingers just to relax.
Moving down our chest.
Right down along our spine.
Feeling it soften.
And this time we take a big deep breath.
And as we do,
We soften and relax all those organs.
They've been working really hard recently.
And then moving down,
Softening our pelvic bone.
Our thighs.
Our breath softening those knees.
Calf muscles.
And all the way down to the tips of our feet and toes.
Feeling our body relax.
Deeper and deeper.
Nice and soft.
But now,
I want you to enter your inner mind.
That dark soft place.
And as you enter your inner mind,
I want you to remember your week or today.
Remember all the conflicts,
Heavy emotions,
The situations,
The anxiety perhaps,
The anger,
Sadness,
Confusion.
I want us to remember and feel into all those feelings we've been holding onto this week.
All those conflicts,
Those heaviness,
Those heavy emotions.
And just allow them to come to the surface.
See the situations.
See the memories.
See the people.
And most of all,
Feel the emotions.
Now,
I want you to feel into where you feel these emotions in your body.
Is there a particular part of your body you feel it in?
Is it heavy?
Is it tight?
Allow yourself to feel into where you feel these intense emotions.
Just allowing them to come to the surface.
To be seen.
To be heard.
And to be accepted.
Now,
Let's just take away these situations.
You feel you might want to blame a situation or a person.
Let's just take that away.
Take the people away.
Take the conflict away.
Take the situation away.
Take everything away.
But that feeling,
Knowing that these situations and conflicts didn't cause these feelings in us.
These feelings have been there for a long time.
But whatever happened,
Just allowed them to come to the surface.
So taking away all external factors,
All people,
All conflict,
All situations,
Everything but that feeling.
That feeling that has been sitting inside of you for a long time now.
And as we continue to breathe,
I want that feeling to grow in you.
Allowing it to be seen.
To be heard.
And let's associate this feeling with a color.
A color.
Seeing that color in your body.
And with your breath,
I want you to breathe out that color.
Like you're breathing out smoke.
And as you breathe in,
I want you to breathe in a beautiful white light.
A clearing light.
Like a diamond.
Breathing in this beautiful white clearing light.
And breathing out that heavy smoke.
Breathing it in.
And breathing out the smoke.
Each breath getting deeper and deeper.
Each breath breathing in that beautiful clearing dark.
And each breath breathing out that heavy.
And in your inner mind,
I want you to repeat after me.
I am not my thoughts.
I am not my expectations.
I am not other people's thoughts.
I am not other people's expectations.
I am not my ideas.
I am not other people's ideas.
I am not my beliefs.
I am not other people's beliefs.
I am not my shame,
My embarrassment,
My mistakes.
I am not my joy.
I am not my emotions,
My feelings,
Or my past.
But what I am is enough.
What I am is important.
What I am is divine.
Allowing the breaths to deepen deeper and deeper.
As we breathe out the last of that black smoke.
Only leaving that beautiful diamond white light clearing our body.
As we breathe out that dark smoke.
And as we take the last two big deep breaths.
Just allow yourself to let go fully.
Make any sounds that need to be made.
And just let go of all those heavy emotions and tensions you've been holding onto.
Well done.
Well done.
Just take some time.
Roll your ankles.
Move your fingers.
Bring some movement and love back into your body.
Give yourself a hug.
And most of all,
Thank yourself for being here.
For showing up and choosing yourself.
There is so much admirability and honor in choosing to fill your own cup and be there for yourself.
Take your time.
Come back.
And go forth with the rest of your day with more peace and relaxation in your mind,
Body,
And soul.
