I'm an energy healing practitioner.
I'm going to guide you through a midline balancing meditation.
A midline balancing meditation can be beneficial for several reasons.
It promotes a sense of centeredness and alignment,
Helping you to connect with your core and find balance within yourself.
It encourages relaxation,
Reduces stress,
And enhances mental clarity.
By focusing on the midline,
You may experience a greater sense of stability,
Both physically and mentally,
Which can contribute to your overall well-being and a more grounded presence in your daily life.
It balances the left-right relationship of your midline.
When I was studying energy healing,
I often did a midline balancing or a body scan meditation prior to doing my energy healing sits.
I found it extremely beneficial to become more familiar with my body awareness and the sensations.
So,
I highly recommend doing a body scan meditation or a midline balancing prior to sitting down to meditate to one of the many meditations here on Inside Timer.
Plus,
They're fairly quick and easy to do.
Now let's get started.
Find a comfortable position,
Either lying down or sitting up.
Close your eyes.
Turn your attention inward.
Establish the witness and try to stay in present moment awareness as best you can.
And let's start by taking a few deep breaths.
Deep breath into your chest,
Big exhale.
Deep breath into your belly,
Big exhale.
Deep breath into your pelvis,
And a big exhale all the way down your legs to ground yourself into Mother Earth.
We're going to use our mind's eye to imagine our hands touching our skin.
With your mind's eye,
Use your dominant arm and start at the top of your head where your crown chakra is located in the middle of your head.
We're going to go down by lightly touching our skin.
Start at the top and we move forward down the front of our head,
Down over our hairline,
Down our forehead,
Going very slowly down to the top of the bridge of your nose,
Down your nose,
Over the tip of your nose to the top of your lip,
Over both lips,
Leading into the chin,
Go down under your chin,
Down into your neck,
Going all the way down your neck and your throat to the top of your chest where your clavicles are and your shoulders.
And you go down in the middle of your chest,
Down to the high heart,
Down through the heart chakra and just keep going down,
Leading into the belly,
Down into your gut,
Just going down into your pelvis where the pelvic bone is,
Down over the genitals,
Underneath where the perineum is,
Going back,
Leading up to the back of your body,
Up to the buttocks and slowly moving up to your pelvic area,
To your lower back and just go up the spine,
The middle of your body,
Slowly going up to the mid-back and up to where your shoulders are,
To the upper back and then to the base of your neck,
Going up your neck,
Leading up to the back of your head and slowly go back up to the top of your head where we started,
At your crown chakra.
And that is a midline balancing.
