In this meditation, you are encouraged to take a break from social media to focus on self-care and mindfulness. Taking deep breaths and visualizing helps resist the urge to check social media, as does using positive affirmations. By letting go of the need for approval online, you can focus on living in the present moment and creating lasting memories. Music: "From The Heart" composed by Music Of Wisdom.

Hi my friend,

My name is Samantha.

Let's take a break from social media together,

Reminding ourselves that it's not a tool for laughter or memory making.

It's simply a platform to upload objects.

It's easy to feel like others are living a better life,

But we have the power to change that perception.

Instead of anxiously checking for likes,

Let's spend a few minutes honoring ourselves.

You'll be amazed at the positive changes you'll see.

So let's get started.

Take a nice breath in and hold it for a second,

And let it go with a little sigh.

With the next breath you take,

Allow yourself to draw in relaxation.

Holding the relaxation means letting it grow and letting go.

And you feel that relaxation pour over you.

Now visualize yourself having the urge to check your social media right now.

But instead,

Catch yourself before doing so,

And sit with your posture tall.

Straighten your spine and hold your chin up,

And allowing a gentle smile because you caught yourself.

Now take a deep breath in,

Noticing the air moving in and out,

Expanding and contracting your lungs and your belly.

Feel noble and feel dignified.

Take another deep breath in and another out.

And now say these positive affirmations to yourself either quietly or repeat them in your mind.

I don't spend much time looking at social media.

Social media does not reflect real life.

Looking online at other people's lives is a waste of time.

Living my life now and laughing in the moment is very rewarding.

I enjoy laughing with people and in person.

I enjoy creating real lasting memories.

I enjoy letting go of the need to post all my memories on social media.

Most moments are better left to enjoy while they are happening.

I let go of the need for approval from others on social media sites.

I enjoy my life much more than I enjoy social media.

Now take a nice breath in and hold it for a second.

Let it go with a nice sigh.

Wonderful.

You can open your eyes whenever you are ready.

Feeling proud to live your life knowing you're creating lasting memories.

Take care,

My beautiful friend.

This is so true, sometimes social media takes over your life So much you don't realize it. It's great to take a break from it and live your own life And not worry about what other people are doing, And enjoy your own life.
