Welcome to this power nap.

Make your body really comfortable now closing your eyes and mentally repeating these words.

For this power nap I allow myself to feel exactly how I do in each moment putting aside any stories for now and being fully present with my feelings with kindness and compassion and I trust that my body will awaken in 15 minutes feeling calm and soothed.

Notice how you feel right now.

Perhaps there's a specific feeling or maybe no feeling in particular.

However you feel in this moment don't try to change it.

Just feeling this whole moment just as it is.

Notice that your body is breathing and begin to let your breath deepen.

Inhaling right down into your belly and exhaling with a long and soft sigh.

Breathing in and breathing out.

Inhaling low and slow.

Exhaling just letting it all go.

Deep breath in long breath out.

Inhaling low and slow.

Exhaling with a long and soft sigh.

And now let your breath be natural.

Body breathing all by itself.

Let the weight of your whole body drop into the support beneath and let your body be held.

Whole body softening.

Tongue resting in the mouth.

Hinges of the jaw loosening.

Eyes softening right back.

The feeling behind eyes softening.

Feel where your head meets the pillow and let the weight of your head be held.

Shoulders sinking down.

Feel the sensation in the palms.

Let that feeling come to you.

Hips releasing their weight.

Fully embodied.

In the silent space that follows be really kind to yourself.

Trusting that whatever's here is just as it should be.

There's nothing to work out or understand right now.

No meaning to be sought.

Let your body sleep if it wants to or simply rest in the compassionate space of just being where every feeling is fully met and given space to be felt.

And now let your breath deepen again.

Taking a few more slow and low breaths.

Inhaling right down into your belly and exhaling with a long and soft sigh.

Breathing in and breathing out.

Really taking your time.

Slowing your breath right down.

Feeling the breath as it moves.

And as you enjoy the simple pleasure of a few slow and low breaths remember that you are not your feelings but the aware peaceful presence by which all feelings are known and in which they come and they go.

It's time to wake up now.

Let your body move and stretch in whatever way it wants to now.

Returning to its wide awake state.

Grounded in being calm and ready to return to your day.

Thank you for joining me for this power nap.

So helpful in a moment of grief and shame to hold it and offer a safe space. Your gentle approach enabled me. Thank you for this. ๐Ÿ™

Amanda, I bookmarked this track some time ago, but only got to listen to it this morning in bed. It was the ideal meditation, as I often wake up feeling underlying anxiousness. Your familiar, supportive voice and the reassuring words helped to settle my emotions while helping to create a positive mindset for the day. Grateful blessings dear ๐Ÿงก ๐Ÿ™
