Many of us don't allow ourselves time to truly relax and cultivate a sense of peace. When we are in these deep state of relaxation, this is where healing can occur. Hello and welcome to your meditation for relaxation.

This is Bec.

The intention for this meditation is for you to drop into a deep state of relaxation.

So finding a comfortable position for you to rest,

You might feel comfortable in a seated position but otherwise it might be really nice for you to lay down on your back and be completely held here by the earth.

Make sure you're feeling as comfortable as you can be.

Perhaps grabbing a blanket or a pillow,

Something to cover your eyes,

Whatever is going to support you to feel as comfortable as possible.

Wherever you find yourself now,

Beginning to connect with your breath and closing down the eyes.

Noticing here the natural rhythm of your breath.

Feeling the breath as it glides in and out of the nostrils.

Feel the rise and fall of your chest and your belly with the breath.

Maintaining a deep,

Even and rhythmic breath throughout the entire meditation.

Move your awareness now from your breath to your mind and just notice how your mind is feeling in this moment.

Notice any thoughts that are in your awareness.

There's no judgment here,

Just observation.

And any thoughts that you no longer wish to carry throughout this meditation,

You can gently release now off into the ether.

Move your awareness now from the mind to your emotions.

Noticing how you're feeling emotionally today,

Again without judgment,

Just observation.

Fully acknowledging any emotions that are present for you here,

Knowing that they are valid and they are there to be expressed and felt completely.

Move your awareness now from the emotions to your physical body.

Let's do a little bit of a body scan from head to toe.

Moving slowly through all of the parts of your body here and observing how your body is feeling.

We habitually hold on to tension in many areas of our physical body.

So if you feel that you're holding on to tension here,

See if you can begin to allow this tension to dissolve.

Knowing that you are held here by the earth,

Softening any parts of your body that feel that it needs to hold here.

Know that you don't need to hold,

You don't need to carry this tension in your body anymore.

Any thoughts,

Fears,

Doubts,

Worries,

Anything that's taking up any mental,

Physical,

Emotional capacity in your system right now,

Allow it to begin to subside.

Consciously choose now to put these things to the side and choose now to be present,

To be still.

Give yourself full permission here to release and let go of anything that's no longer serving you,

Anything that feels heavy to carry or anything that's not even yours to carry.

Let it all go here.

This is a safe space for you to come into a full state of relaxation.

Sometimes when we're going through a particularly stressful time in our lives,

It feels unsafe for the body to come into a state of relaxation.

The nervous system on high alert to protect you.

But know that this is a safe space for you here.

Know that you can allow anything that's no longer serving to fall away.

Know that you can take this sacred and special time now to restore,

Relax,

Rejuvenate,

Recalibrate.

Keep breathing here.

Stay present here.

Keep falling deeper and deeper into a state of relaxation.

Allow the weight of your body to become heavy.

So heavy that you feel as if you could fall through the floor towards the earth.

Keep softening.

Keep going deeper and deeper within.

Stay here in this moment in your own energy for the next few breaths.

Feel as if you're floating.

Floating on a cloud.

Perhaps you're floating in a crystal water river.

Just presence.

Just relaxation.

And it's in this state of relaxation that we can heal.

If there's any residual tension that you feel that you could release here.

Take that time now.

Let's take another five beautiful breaths here together.

And as you breathe,

You're breathing in this sense and this state of relaxation.

As you exhale,

You're releasing and letting go of any residual tension.

Anything that you no longer wish to carry.

If you feel that you need some more time here to remain in this state of relaxation,

I highly encourage you to do so if you have the space and the time.

If you feel ready to come back into your day,

Slowly begin to deepen your breath.

Breathing into the entire length of your body.

Bringing a little bit of gentle movement back into the physical body.

And holding on to this feeling of peace,

This feeling of relaxation as you prepare to step back into your day.

If you have come to lay down slowly and gently in your own time,

Bring yourself back up into a comfortable seated position.

And once you feel ready,

You can gently blink open your eyes,

Coming back into the space and coming back into your day.
