Welcome to your guided meditation on meeting your grief.

My name is Brittany Pollard and it is my honor to journey with you over the next little while as you see and acknowledge your grief.

So you can release it and free yourself.

So often we try to bypass our grief,

Busying ourselves with work and productivity,

Social media,

Addictions and anything we can do to avoid it.

Meanwhile we know that underneath it all,

When we're alone from the world,

When we're stripped of all the things we wear,

Our money,

Jobs and status,

Our grief remains.

Like a shadow it follows us,

Waiting to be seen.

In this guided meditation you will meet your grief.

You will see it.

You will feel it.

You will move through it.

It is okay to be sad.

It is okay to feel lonely.

It's okay to feel lost and afraid.

It doesn't negate who you are.

It does not make you weak.

It does not make you less important.

It makes you human.

Grief is a layer of healing.

It is a part of you that needs attention.

A part of you that needs help.

Your grief is normal.

It's okay to feel it.

It is an emotion that needs to be moved through you.

As we get ready to take this journey,

Allow yourself to settle into a comfortable position,

Choosing to either sit up straight,

Feet firmly planted on the ground,

Or laying down on your back.

Choose what's most comfortable for you.

Begin to relax your body by closing your eyes.

Softening the tense parts of you.

Relaxing your ankles,

Your legs.

Allowing your back to settle into your support system.

Sending your way up the body as you relax your shoulders.

Loosening your jaw.

Unclenching your teeth.

Fully letting go as you prepare for this sacred time.

The world can wait.

You deserve this space.

You are safe to be here.

Tuning into your breath,

Inhale deeply through your nose.

Sending oxygen deep into your belly and exhale through your mouth.

Continuing with this pattern,

Inhale deeply and fully.

Sending the oxygen going all the way down to your toes as it circulates through your system.

And exhale.

With each breath that you take and release,

You are sinking deeper into your support system.

Starting to loosen any tension in your body.

There you go.

Now as you breathe,

With each inhale,

Ask your body to open.

Breathing in through the nose.

Open.

And out through the mouth.

Feeling space within.

Repeating the word in your mind.

Open.

Open.

Signaling for your body to unwind.

There you go.

Beautiful job.

With each opening,

Your grief starts to slowly come out of the parts of you that have been locked and closed down.

It starts to reveal itself.

Stretching and expanding out of the darkness.

It is so safe to be here with this part of you.

Just as joy and happiness lives within,

So does grief.

It is an extension of you.

Continuing to breathe.

Asking for opening.

Your grief starts to move through all of those openings.

Coming out from behind the shadows of your bones.

Breathing through all of the hidden crevices of your muscles.

Making its way out.

Guess what it looks like.

What does the part of you that represents loss look like?

Perhaps it is the loss of a life you once knew.

The loss of someone you deeply cared for.

The loss of a childhood.

A future you are so excited for.

The loss of security and safety.

Watch as it moves in front of you,

Now fully free of its binding.

Watch how it dances.

How it waves to the melody.

How could something so painful be so beautiful?

How could something so locked and shut away be one of our greatest teachers?

As your grief dances,

Waving slowly in different directions,

You are invited to come closer.

Remembering you are safe.

This is just an extension of you.

No need to run.

Just be.

As you approach your grief with soft gentle steps,

You stand fully in front of it.

Clearly seeing all that you have been hiding from.

One that has been hiding within you.

Magnificently it dances,

Waving in front of you.

Then it whispers,

Cry.

For the life you no longer know,

Cry.

For the future you're unsure of,

Cry.

For the love you had to let go,

Cry.

For the childhood you never had,

Cry.

Allow your tears to cleanse your soul.

Crying for it all.

Letting it all go.

Release the hold and let it go.

There is no shame in tears.

There is no shame in fear.

For what you choose to see,

You also choose to liberate love.

You are safe to be here.

You are healing.

Well done.

Over the next little while,

Stay in this place of releasing.

You are letting go of the suppression you have held onto.

Creating sacred space inside.

Supplying all of those shadows with beautiful light and air.

Well done.

Now that you've met your grief.

Now that you've seen it and acknowledged it.

Now that you have awareness of it.

You can hold it and you can let it go.

Even if it is just for right here and right now.

See yourself as you let it go.

What does it feel like to let all of that out of your system?

What does it feel like to now have space within you?

There is so much beauty to fill in these spaces.

There is laughter.

There is still love.

There is so much,

So much beautiful life to fill in these spaces.

Invite love in as you clear these shadows for every storm yields a clear sunny sky.

You my love are just as natural as the cycles of the earth.

Well done.

Coming back into the room,

Wiggling your fingers,

Your hands,

Your feet.

Slowly wiggling your legs as you gently shift them around.

Opening up your system,

Moving your arms and slowly opening your eyes.

Beautiful.

You are honored.

You are loved.

You are sacred.

Thank you for allowing me to journey with you today.

We will now go into deep breathing and seconds of color field car and will breathe out in You You You

One of the most gentle, yet powerful meditations I've experienced. Grief has been my companion since 2018, first an unwelcome guest, then a valued teacher. The pandemic created a situation of global grieving. Now in 2025 we are dealing with a sinister darkness in our nation. Many are grieving the loss of human decency. This practice of meeting our Grief is timeless. I loved watching her dance, no longer the dark, hidden lump in my stomach, ache in my heart, but an image of beauty, if just for that moment. Thank you, Brittany.β€οΈβ€πŸ©ΉπŸ₯°

This is one of the best and most moving meditations I've ever done. If you have trouble making space for your grief, it should be an essential part of your practice.

Beautiful, thank you πŸ’œ Loved the gentle delivery, beautiful content, and calm background music. It felt like you really cared and 'got it.' I personally could have used more time with the messaging in the later part, because feeling the grief was a lot. Overall loved it and will be bookmarking! πŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œ
