This is the first of four guided audio tracks that will invite your body to be in a state of ease.
And we start with the breath.
Everything starts with your breath.
Breath is the gateway to everything that your life desires.
Breath moves energy and energy moves breath.
Each follows the other.
So we'll do this one either lying on your back or seated.
If you're seated,
I'd love for you to have your feet on the floor.
Find a tall spine,
A bridge between the earth and the sky that is your body.
And invite all of those little muscles around your spine to be at ease.
And if you're on your back,
Get comfortable.
Let the floor or the couch or the bed hold you.
And same invitation.
All of those little muscles that think that they need to hold on.
You can remind them to just let go.
That's all.
They don't need to right now.
And you'll find a nice rhythm that is an inhale through your nose and out of your mouth.
So you'll just start breathing in through your nose,
Out through your mouth.
And just noticing right now your breath in through your nose,
Out through your mouth.
The quality of your breath,
Where in your body your breath is living,
In through your nose,
Out through your mouth.
When you inhale,
Does your breath go into your shoulders,
Into your high heart?
Is it shallow?
Is it deep?
Is it fast?
Is it slow?
And we're not here to judge the breath.
We're only here to notice it.
And upon noticing,
We will offer the breath more space.
Breathing in through your nose,
Longer and deeper into your body.
And out through your mouth.
And through your nose.
Deeper into your rib cage and out through your mouth.
You can place one hand on your belly.
On the other hand,
I like to go over my heart.
And on this inhale,
Breathe all the way into your belly.
So that the hand on your belly rises and exhale through your mouth.
And through your nose,
Into your belly,
And out through your mouth.
And through your nose,
Into your belly,
And out through your mouth.
Now,
Let your exhale be longer than your inhale.
Just by a couple counts.
You keep breathing as you listen to my voice.
The only thing that you have to do here is breathe.
When your brain wants to come online,
And it will,
You just come back to your breath.
In through your nose,
Into your belly,
Out through your mouth.
As you can feel your body supported by the ground that it's on,
Whatever the shape that ground is.
You can let go of the muscles in your jaw.
Let your jaw hang loose.
Let your sighs,
Let your exhales be just a little bit heavier.
Let them fall.
In through your nose,
Into your belly,
Out through your mouth.
Let the muscles in your face,
Around your eyes,
Your eyelids,
Let them be easy.
The only thing you have to do is come back to your breath.
In through your nose,
Into your belly,
And out through your mouth.
We're not here to make anything wrong.
We're not here to judge the brain,
The thoughts,
The breath,
The body.
We're simply here to breathe,
To remind the body that breath is available all of the time.
And your energy will follow your breath.
In through your nose,
Into your belly,
Out through your mouth.
An invitation for the muscles in your shoulder blades,
In your chest,
In your rib cage.
All of those little ones that like to contract around the doingness in our days.
Let them breathe with you.
In through your nose,
Into your belly,
Out through your mouth.
The muscles in your belly,
In your low back,
In your hips,
In your pelvic floor.
Invite those two to let go and meet the rhythm of your breath.
When you find yourself in your day,
Up in your head,
Maybe outside of your head,
Holding all of that in your shoulders,
In your upper chest.
All you have to do is breathe into your belly.
And move that energy down,
Reminding your body that you are in your body with your breath.
In through your nose,
In your belly,
And out through your mouth.
And as you prepare your body to move back into the movement of life,
The forwardness,
The doingness.
Take some time right now to really honor this moment and the threshold into the next.
Knowing that you can always remember and harness this at any time.
Thinking yourself for showing up for you.
Just breathe.
