This is the Day 1 Meditation from Cayce's '30 Day Meditation Habit'. Mindfulness is the practice of allowing everything to be “as it is” with full non-judgmental acceptance. We are able to accept whatever arises and investigate our experiences with neutrality instead of blindly reacting and launching into our habitual patterns. Every moment becomes new and along with this freshness comes an innate compassion, stillness and settling calm. “Mindfulness means paying attention in a particular way, on purpose, in the present moment, and non-judgmentally.” - Jon Kabat Zinn

Transcript

Let's meditate today on mindfulness,

Taking your meditative posture,

If you can having the back nice and straight and the mind nice and open.

And just start by arriving,

Arriving with your attention into the present moment.

Just breathing in and know that you're breathing in and breathing out and know that you are breathing out.

Give yourself permission to be just right here.

Letting go of planning and rehearsing the future.

Letting go of rehashing the past.

Tuning fully into beingness and fully just being with what this moment has to offer.

Tuning into what is happening now in the body.

What sensations can you tune into that are arising in the body right now?

Tuning so non-judgmentally without desiring anything to be different than what it is.

Just simply looking.

Maybe tuning into where the body is meeting with your seat.

Tuning into any changes of temperature.

Or articles of clothing that may be touching the skin.

Just staying right there.

No judgment.

Breathing with everything just as it is.

Breathing in.

I know that I am breathing in.

Breathing out.

I know that I am breathing out.

Didn’t even realize it ended. Continued breathing for 10 minutes simply waiting and breathing. Very peaceful and centering.

So simple yet very effective. Nice pacing with just the right amount if pauses. Found this calmed my mind and relaxed my body which is impressive in such a short meditation. Only slight criticism is that the ending bell was quite loud and made me jump but otherwise excellent thank you.

Love his voice which is calm and relaxing. Good meditation but very short, a longer version would be perfect. Namaste

Thank you. Both My body and my mind connected to this short meditation. Very enjoyable without any stress. I would give this experience 5 stars if it was longer. Susan. Palm Springs, California

Great start to getting into meditating. When my mind started to wander his voice reminded me to focus on my breathing. I needed that grounding.
