Hi,
My name is DeRise.
I will be guiding you through a grounding restorative meditation created to help ease fear,
Chaos,
And uncertainty.
Nestle into your meditation space and disconnect from the external world and connect to the internal through your breath.
Your breath is where the truth of the present moment resides.
Close your eyes if you choose.
Allow your body to be supported and held.
Anxiety is often caused by the fear of the unknown,
By the fictional narrative we create in our mind.
The body's sensing the sway from what it knows to be true,
Creating a disruption in our operating system resulting in the feelings of anxiety.
Every breath is an invitation to live in our truth.
As you nestle in and tether your awareness to your breath,
Ask yourself,
What do I know to be true in this moment?
What do I know to be true in this moment?
Breathe into this question and discern from stories of the future as they can easily creep in.
Focus on the now.
What do you know to be the absolute truth of this moment?
Comfort yourself by being intentional with your breath.
It is okay to not know what is next.
That is part of the grand adventure of this life.
Take a few minutes to witness your breath flowing through your body.
Feel the rise and the fall of your chest.
Let go and soften.
Feel the sensations in your body.
Sense and feel your jaw.
The jaw relaxing.
Along with it,
The eyes,
Lips,
Teeth,
And tongue soften.
Your attention remains on your jaw and your face.
This relaxation response begins to spread down to the other parts of your body,
Through the shoulders,
Sensing and feeling the shoulders.
They soften and relax.
Continue engaging this practice with other parts of your body,
Your arms,
Torso,
Back,
Pelvis,
Legs.
Watch as your body lets go of the tension and relaxation washes over your body.
When you're ready to return to your wakeful state,
Invite deep inhales and exhales.
Reinvigorate the body by inviting gentle movement of the fingers and toes.
Take a moment to sit with this calmer version of yourself.
This brief practice has been designed to recalibrate you with the present moment in order to decrease feelings of anxiousness.
This meditation has been designed to be effective and adaptable to fit any time allotment.
So continue to remain in this present moment,
Anchored to your breath,
As long as you desire.
